  Is the free rides just for the Royal Show (ie you'd have to show some Royal Show tickets) or its free across the entire Transperth Network as per the Title?

    Thanks to the State Government of WA you can travel to the Show for free on Monday the 28th of September. There will be free public transport across the greater metro area on the Queen’s Birthday public holiday

    and

    The free travel day will be in place across the Transperth system (bus, train and ferry) on September 28, so there’s no need to tag on or buy cash ticket.

  Given the six monthly fare increases?

  Unless the PTA self-funds maintenance and capital works through fares, I won't be thanking the government for allowing PTA to rort public transport users the other 364 days of the year.
