Pro-Lift 2000kg Speedy Lift Garage Jack $149 (Save $150) @ Repco

90

This jack is rarely on special and at half price is a bargain IMO. I think most Repco jacks are half price ATM.

  • 2000kg Speedy Lift Garage Jack $149

Supercheap Auto had a 2000kg one for $14.95 last weekend…

Guess this deal isnt all that its jacked up to be…

      • Left me all up in the air…

    • I'm pretty sure that was one of the 1400kg jacks…
I bought one them for $15 about 4 years ago from Supercheap.
The 2000kg are always much more expensive.

        • Thanks but its a completely different type of jack…
Bottle jacks aren't as expensive normally or as desirable.

        • @Alister:
Thought you were referring to Jv's post,my apologies.

        • Yeah mate, I am.
You and JV are comparing a completely different type of jack (you linked a bottle jack).

Trolley jacks have generally have a much higher lifting height and are more stable in my opinion.
Also they have a very small contact point which makes it easy to damage the contact point while trolley jacks have a much larger contact point.

And remember safety first, always use jack stands even with this type of jack.

  • only a little more than it was a year and a half ago…
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/132641 (it didn't score too well then either)

and possibly cheaper before that too…(99 according to the screenshot in this post)
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/130311

of course that doesn't mean it should be this cheap now…
intersting to note only a year an a half it was only 175RRp… now its apparently 300(299)? that however does seem dodgy.

    • The dollar has also plummeted in that time

    • G2000 vs G2000S part numbers??

      ($99-$150)
      ???

    • Not dodgy…different jack.

For that sort of money, you are better to get the Alloy one from Costco. Much better quality and about the same price.

    • +1 basically same price as Arcan jack trolley from Costco

      • +2

try telling that to the people who don't have a costco near them.

shipping a jack from one end of australia to another end does kinda kill the deal.

    • i dont like the costco one can lift 2tons

      • It will do 1800KG which is enough for any car use, as you are not raising up the whole car with one lift.

    • i also prefer costco one… repco one looks like Supercheap auto… even no rubber pad.

      • Some like style, some like substance

  • This looks like a better deal. 2500KG Jack with 2 x 3000KG Stands. $149.00

    http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/bonusbuys/sca-…

    • What is the lifting range on that jack?

      • 2500 kg, 128-487mm working range (vs 145-495 for the Repco jack). Throw in two ratchet stands and for $149 that is excellent value.

        • Excellent value indeed. Reckon the jack is a speedy lift?

        • Yep good deal…I nearly bought this myself until I realized the Repco unit is a rebadged Omega. SCA one is not a speedy lift.

  • +1

I bought this Repco unit last year for the same price. Needed something that would jack up a lifted 4WD. It does is job. No problems here.

  • This jack is actually a rebadged Omega 2T Magiclift which is a commercial, workshop quality unit. The costco unit is fine for home use but this workshop one has much better hydraulic internals (no leaks) and will certainly last longer.

  • It also means you can purchase a service kit for this jack should the need ever arise. Like I said…this is a bargain.

  • Great deal for a two speed jack, if you're using it regularly or in those tight spaces where you can can only pump the handle an inch or two, you will come to love the two speed function.
Also I have one of the SCA ones from years ago, the wheels on it are absolute crap and the hydraulic release mechanism is stiff and not very sensitive. I can't complain because my particular one cost $10.

  • It has gone down as low as $99 in the past.

wisc has pointed out it was $99 a year ago.

    • Different jack but don't let that bother you.

  • I bought this when it was $100. Does its job well, wheels are pretty bad and doesnt' exactly roll. You have to drag it everywhere. It's also extremely heavy which is bad news considering the wheels aren't great.

I bought this to work on my e36 and it barely fits under it stock height so probably best used for high clearance vehicles.

    • This jack has never been $100 so you are talking about a different jack.

  • +1

Rather a Arcan jack at this price

    • Exactly, if you're after a jack in this price point, get an Arcan from Costco. Aluminium (light but solid), and well put together.
