MXIII-G Quadcore Android 5.1 TV Box (2GB/8GB) for $60.89 (~AU $86) Shipped @ GearBest

HTMXG

I've managed to get a coupon for the popular MXIII-G Android 5.1 TV Box for my readers and figured I'd share. It's for the higher specc'd 2GB+8GB model with an AU plug.

Powered by the quadcore Amlogic S812, the MXIII-G runs Android 5.1 and features 2GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage, dual band WiFi and Gigabit Ethernet.

The hardware should be made by Beelink but it's OEM so it doesn't have their branding.

I haven't reviewed this particular model but the Amlogic S812 SoC is a great performer in other boxes I've tested such as the Beelink S82 Plus.

Reviews from other sources are positive: XDA Review of the MXIII-G

I contacted and they said wait for another 2 weeks.
Think carefully before order something from gearbest..

My Tronsmart R68 took about 5 weeks but I am pretty happy with the product.

I guess maybe the DHL option would have sped things up a bit.

      • Wrong company I think. Geekbuying was the company that were selling the Tronsmart products.

I'm in the same boat with these guys (Gearbest) with regards to a quadcopter, although if you dont spend AUD$40 or more you get slow shipping (5 weeks or more in the post). I also have been sent a picture of the package that was sent, still waiting its arrival. Fingers crossed it turns up.

Don't get me started on the Geekbuying. Those a**holes took the money for a product they didnt have (and clearly still don't). My order is still sitting in "Order Status: Payment Confirmed (Processing)" one and a half months after placing the order. The DHL option on my order hasn't made any difference if they don't send the product.

        • LOL their names always get me confused. Yeah shipping was crap it took ages but it was surprisingly a really good product. Other than no Gigabit LAN I am pretty impressed with it.

        • @Kaboda: I find Tronsmart, Beelink, UGOOS and Zidoo all make really good quality Android boxes.

        • Yeah, I see a couple of nice products from them from time to time. So, I decided to put in an order for a cheap VR headset to see what they are like. It took them more than a month to ship. It's been around 2 months now and I'm still waiting. So, best to buy one now if you are wanting delivery by Christmas…

I ordered two products over two months ago. Never received, and Gearbest refused to offer a refund. I ended up having to escalate the matter to paypal to make a claim since Gearbest both refuse to ship a product I ordered (expedited shipping!!) or even provide a refund for something which I never received.

The lesson to be learned is that if you order from Gearbest, you may not even recieve anything, let alone a refund, and certainly not in the time frames which they claim.

I think the worst part about Gearbest are their fraudulent shipping times. They should clearly indicate their stock levels so they aren't constantly deceiving people into buying products which they don't, and never had stock of in the first place :s

I've been waiting on an order (ANdroid tv box) from Gearbest since 10th Aug. My friend ordered the exact same product a week after I did and his has shipped after 4 days. I have emialed them many times without success, they always just say, we will ship asap:(

  • I bought a similar unit from geekbuying for USD60 (with $20 voucher):

Took about one week to get to me, comes pre loaded with Kodi and it works a treat.

  • Kodi?
    H.265?

    • Yep, looks like Kodi is pre-installed. Amlogic plays very nice with Kodi too.

ordered this exact box 3 weeks ago. couple of weeks later after inquiring why it wasn't shipped yet, i got told that they're not actually in stock despite their site saying they are. got offered a couple of similar boxes instead which were supposedly definitely in stock. i chose a slightly more expensive model and paid the difference via an invoice on the very same day. some more time goes by, i inquire again about why it's not shipped yet. no reply. eventually i get on their chat and i'm told the replacement model which was definitely in stock, is actually also not in stock and there is a 1-2 week wait.

so i've switched back to the original box (ie this one) which apparently has a shorter wait of 3-5 days. now i have to chase them for a refund of the invoice i paid for the replacement item which ended up not being in stock and hope that i will eventually get something. happy days.

before this i used GearBest a few times with decent results, but after this i don't think i can stomach it again. does anyone know any other comparable sites that have decent customer support/turnaround times? even if it means paying a little extra.

Have ordered a couple of items with Dealmachine and they have been quick with sending stuff.

    • I was told that AU stock is in back order at the moment and only EU stock available.

I will be waiting when they got stock based on the replies here

  • This box is the exact same as Beelink GTQ http://www.gearbest.com/tv-box-mini-pc/pp_229559.html , differences being a metal box and wifi antenna on the GTQ for an extra $20.
I ordered the GTQ from gearbest 25th AUG, said it was in stock and still waiting for them to post it, says processing.
I'm right on the verge of cancelling.

  • People is device any good? Hope there is no lag with 1080. Also does android 5.1 come installed
