Spring has finally sprung, folks, which means there’s a tonne of epic food-focused events popping up on our calendar. If you’re looking for things to do in Melbourne and you’re the night market type, then look no further. Flavour Exchange, Melbourne's favourite night market for all things food and drink, taking place on Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th September, this showcases the absolute best in local producers for two nights of eating, drinking and good times.

If you made it to the Winter Flavour Exchange event back in June, you’ll know just how good the hand-picked selection of delights for tasting will be. As well as tasty new-season offerings from Flavour Exchange favourites Sofi Spritz, Chooh la la, Dineamic Foods, Allies, Scotchman’s Hill and Sally’s Paddock wineries, there will be a host of new faces attending the Melbourne night market this season.

We’re super-excited to try the latest condiments on show from Coldstream company Cunliffe and Waters, who teamed up with Four Pillars distillery to make an EPIC gin marmalade that we discovered on our last trip to the Yarra Valley. If their track record is anything to go by, expect some deliciously rich and tasty seasonal spreads and preserves, packed with interesting flavour combos that you won’t get on supermarket shelves.

Looking to stock up on some top-rate, easy-to-cook meals? Yarra Valley Pasta will be there with some of the tastiest hand-made pastas we’ve tried in a while. Pair them with some fresh veggies and a boutique wine from any of the new producers who will be in attendance – Medhurst, Oakridge, Tokar Estate and Rob Dolan will all be showcasing their latest vintages – and you’ve got the perfect ingredients for a spring feast!
