ZTE Fit 4G Smart (Optus Locked) for $49.50 (Save $49.50 - Half Price) @ Officeworks

180

Not bad for the Mid-low range Android phone, then the latest M01 firmware was fixed from 2 partition (2GB & 6GB) into a single 5.21GB partition, so partition issue already sorted.

    • OW pricematch then?

  • Good alternative to the Lumia 532. Yeah same price as woolies.

  • Solid phone- battery lasts forever

  • Looks good and reviews seems positive. Is it possible to unlock to make it work with Aldi and for how much? Or would anyone recommend a similar one for Telstra/Aldi?

    • +1

      It wont work with Aldi
Aldi uses Telstra 850mhz 3G band

    • try to get and unlock a lumia 520, perfect for aldi

  • This or LG Leon? Hoping to get LG Leon when it drops to 50$.

wrong time to be flogging this phone now Right time woulda been last year alongside $50 Huawei Y550. What with Xiaomi Red mi Note 2 gobbling up everything midrange and down. ; ]]

Chief '+ point would be a phone+android OS over an equivalent 4g band 28 router.

Xiaomi Red mi Note 2 is a $200+ phone. Can't really compare the two.

RN2 wouldn't drop 50% in value over few months either very true.

  • Bought from last deal at woolies, reflash rom + intall hola launcher, you will love it

camera is crap, display a bit washed out (solved by tweaking contrast from inbuilt miravision app)

    • So your saying there's rom's for these?

    • Hey medium, I hadn't looked at reflashing ROM apart from fixing the partition issue. I'll look into this, thanks

Any way to fix the fact that the camera is default zoomed too close. Terrible for selfies haha!

its practically a Canon compared to the cameras on the other sub 50 dollar phones and has a front facing one. all other sub 70 dollar smartphones are practically unusable but this is very good. it really is a 100 dollar phone.

      • c is-for camera
        2.8/5 all. good to know.

yeah but thats at 100 dollars not 50! there are phone covers out there that are more than this!

        • Would have rated it last Xmas too, just now I am more looking at a dual sim kind of a modem/phone. huawei has spoiled me!

  • Cheers. I missed out getting one for my gf last time they were on special at Woolies. So frustrating because I went to several stores and they were all out of stock. The pricing on the OW website does not give any indication of the discount which is strange.

    • when OW drop prices to match another store, they usually try not to draw attention to it

      • Ahh yes, that makes perfect sense. Needless to say I grabbed one at OW today :)
Just a question, as this will be a gift for someone (who is less than tech savvy) I want to make sure the "M01" partition fix is pre-installed, without having to open the box if possible. My stock appears to be a new batch with a credit expiry date of "1 Aug 2016" which I read elsewhere should be factory updated. If anyone could confirm?
For anyone that needs to manually update the link is here : http://www.ztemobiles.com.au/downloads/Fit_4G/index.htm

I also found some nice 'girly' wallet style cases on ebay for $6.50 : http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261912141900?_trksid=p2060353.m14…
Those basic Gel cases are a bit of a rip off at $10 I reckon as they don't offer much protection.

Don't worry Wolfe, Woolies are doing this too this week.

I was going to post it again but seems people know about it already

    • Tried Woolies first thing in the morning and 2 stores were "out of stock" which compounded my disappointment from last time. Gave up and went straight to OW. Too easy.

GRRRRR, need the one that works on Telstra/Aldi 3g

  • Thanks! got one from OW (Fyshwick, ACT) today - very happy with it running my Amaysim SIM, very snappy performer!

    • No need to unlock?

      • +1

No need to unlock from -network- in Snuffleophegus' case for as long as his/her subsidised handset is used with the same - OptusNet, that Amaysim resells access to currently. In Australia, nastier carrier specific locks, for the most part are thing of the past. Cheap unlock via eBay for moving to Telstra (or Vodafone) off-net including resellers.

  • My brother has one of these and I was suprised by how good the ui and animations were.

  • Ticketed price at local OW was $69. Scanned at $69. I showed the guy the page on lasoo.com.au that said OW for $49.50, and he gave me another 5% off that (price guarantee) so I got one for ~$47. It has the T03 firmware.
