I reckon this is approx. AUD120 delivered, but that will depend on currency conversion which varies daily, and any credit card or PayPal commission, etc. if not using a no-commission credit card such as 28 Degrees

The previous deals expired because the prices went up.

Now the price is down on black, so black is the new blue. The black version is lowest price at the moment

Camel*3 shows this is the lowest USD price ever on any of the colours - though it might have been possible to get this cheaper previously in AUD when the exchange rate was more favourable.

Price increase:

Was US77.72 + 5.59 = 83.31 = approx. AUD 120

Now US78.99 + 5.59 = 84.58 = approx. AUD 122

Lowest price ever in USD, OK price in AUD compare to past deals.

  • Shipping to AUS seems to cost USD5.59

    Items: $77.72
    Shipping & handling: $5.59
    Total before tax: $83.31
Estimated tax to be collected: $0.00
    Total: $83.31

I think that should convert to around AUD120

It's RAM for a computer, not a shirt - so why does the colour matter?

Is there a difference in performance between colours?

    (is the red faster?)

    • I don't think there is a performance difference between them, but different colours are differently priced.

I think it's a marketing gimmick for people to talk about. Looks like it's working.

    • It matters cause if your pc build color is focused on say blue. Black ram wouldn't not look as good as blue ram would.

      • Thanks. That's what the advertising and marketing says. But isn't the RAM generally hidden under a non-transparent cover?

Majority of PC builders have PC cases that have a side windows with whatever color they wanted LED's (not me the leds piss me off so i turn mine off.

you are talking about standard pcs like what you buy from Harvey Norman they are overpriced and not very good if you want a decent pc.

WOW - the "Build Colour"? ROFL.

The PERFORMANCE of the machine is what matters most. Actually, it's pretty much the only thing that matters.

I only EVER look at the monitors of my machines. The case, CPU, memory, drives, and all that other stuff is just the life support for the thing that actually matters (the User Interfaces)

Majority of PC builders have PC cases that have a side windows

I doubt that very much. Probably the reverse. And anyway, who lies on the floor all day gazing into the side window (if fitted) of a computer, instead of using it?

The only time that I look inside my PC is when I build it, or when I am cleaning or upgrading. I hang with "computer people" and none of us looks inside each other's PCs… it's the RESULT (ie: what it can do) that's important to most computer builders.

Young kids might be impressed by wanky flashing colours, but they soon grow up and learn.
