Nuggets- KFC Vs McDonald's Which Is Best?

Both have a great deal on at the moment and I'm looking to indulge for my cheat meal tomorrow (dieting for a bodybuilding contest).

Which ones do you like best? I've only ever had McDonalds ones in recent times.

this is my one indulgence meal for the week so i gotta make it count!

KFC nuggets provided they are fresh and not cooked like 4 hours ago.

McDonalds ones for me, and since you're on your cheat meal.. ask for Big Mac sauce to go with them!

    • Is that a valid option for nugget sauce? Or pay extra?

      • +2

It's 40c extra from memory. Worth it for my tastebuds!
Also it's best to ask for the usual free standard sauce first, then ask for the other sauce as additional. Otherwise they remove the standard sauce and still charge for the special request.

mcdonalds with the sweet sour sauce is the best when you're trashed.

    • You don't need to be trashed Davo!

Haven't had maccas nuggets in a while since the $10 deal isn't WA (AFAIK), so I always go the KFC nuggets. The four choices of sauce are terrible though, especially the supercharged sauce. Bleargh.

KFC nuggets are made with a pink slime that attempts to be meat.

      yes and its delicious

I thought the McD's nuggets were alot tastier before that switched to "breast meat"

Havent tried the KFC's… having a cheat weekend, so will probably give them a go !

I had KFC nuggets for the first time last week and they were soggy and tasteless (though I ate them alongside KFC chicken pieces so maybe they were tasteless in comparison).

I'm more into crunchiness and spiciness from my junk food so even home cooking the $2.89 500g packs from Woolworths' Homebrand and Aldi may be competitive (Coles' equivalent were bleh…).

The ALDI ones are so much nicer.

      • +1

Yeah, I kinda like the cornflour-y taste and texture that Aldi adds to all of their crumbed chicken products but I know quite a few people that don't.

  • KFC, maccas will never cook them fresh for you the bastards

  • maccas easily

Like Mexicans would say, why not have both?

It's a dumb question, everyone's taste is different.

  • If they're the same price then I think I prefer the McDonald's nuggets because they're constantly crispier and the sweet and sour sauce really seals the deal. But with no McDonald's deal in NSW I'll stick with KFC $10 for 24

kfc nuggets but with McDonald sauce and a nice thick shake to let it all down

If you don't mind a very small amount of cooking, you can make far better ones yourself with next to no effort - simply coat small slices/pieces of chicken breast in mayonnaise, then coat in breadcrumbs: panko are best. They take all of about 3 minutes to prepare and cook.

Was going to say the same thing, if you want even more flavour, use thigh fillets…

What (profanity) both kfc and mc's are no good for your health
instead eat some lettuce leaves now they are good for your health brother.
