        • Can these $20 and $10 off be stacked or can they only be redeemed one per order?.

        • @hollykryten: expires in 7 days after checkout

        • @slamjam:

But can these $20 or $10 off be stacked in the cart in a single order that's what i'm saying?. What be pretty cool if could stack.

        • +1

@hollykryten: they can't be stacked because you only get one $20 or $10 off discount after you make an order.

when you make the next order and select visa checkout, you'll see the additional discount applied automatically in your COTD cart. you can't save it for another order.

Grabbed 2 of these, and the torch. Used up $31.95 of my credit, and got the Visa $20 coupon :) So $18.05 credit left, $20 off voucher and 5 days left on my Club Catch trial :) Here's hoping something good comes along before then for $50 or so :)

  • WD My Net N900 - Sold Out.

    • Sold out first thing this morning when i checked

  • The Club Catch Calendar is claiming that the 50% off clearance sale is sold out. Gee that lasted a whole day.

    • +1

Technically, either that wasn't the sale or they messed up running it early, why? Because the 50% off clearance says w2 which means week 2, we are only in the first week (w1) of September…

The week 1 offer was extra 50% off in cart.

How can week2 ever start on the 4th of the month and on a Friday? Not possible.

      • +1

Yes it was meant to last for a week but according to the calendar it sold out already. I remember yesterday seeing it on the COTD web site saying the sale was due to run for another 6 days yet here we are today sale is over. And i agree their calendar schedule timing doesn't seem to be accurate. Almost like as if they start and stop sales whenever they feel like it. Wonder if the reason they pulled the sale early maybe figured was losing too much money?.

  • +1

Clearly the sale wasn't sold out, think they stuffed up having the visa checkout promotion on at the same time as the 50% off, with $20 visa credit you could pretty much get a $50 item for $5 deliverd, looks like they pulled the plug, maybe will return after the visa discount promo ends

Similarly, the 20th August 50% off sale was due to go six days and it also was only available less than a day.

This happened less than two weeks back for the broad range 50% off sale at
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/206606

as the following codes simultaneously became available at the time
      REWARD10 REWARD20 REWARD30
$10 off (no min spend) use code REWARD10 (not much use)
$20 off (Min $80 spend) use code REWARD20
$30 off (Min $130 spend) use code REWARD30
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/206665

I wonder about what transpires in the CotD team for CotD to announce a six day sale, scheduled to begin in week two of September, which then begins early on the 4th of September and then lasts barely one day. The CotD team seem to be slow learners in providing this combination twice in two weeks. Or is there something less obvious going on here at CotD? Are we seeing gaming theory being applied in marketing?

    • Yes. My theory was they were losing too much money and quickly pulled the plug on the sale after panicking.

  • I got the N900 router.

I'm having trouble getting decent transfer speeds via ethernet.

    My max is 3.5 MB/s

I've tried different cables/firmware/adaptor drivers/copying to ext HDD/protocols on and off/antivirus on and off.
I've checked everything is gigabyte rated.

Is anyone achieving decent LAN transfer speeds onto the device?

I've never really tried to properly setup a lan before.
    so maybe it's something obvious.

ta for any advice, if any comes

(my provisional diagnosis is: it's a POS)

Perhaps you would be better served asking this on Whirlpool on the dedicated modem/routers section.

      http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum/82

p.s. Make sure that you're using CAT6 Ethernet cables (they are guaranteed for gigabit speed, CAT5 Ethernet cables are not).

      • Thanks for the suggestions.. and for your edit ;)

I did check whirlpool/wd forums/cable (using brand new cat6, and using realtek diagnostic tool) and it seems it is just buggy router.

        Still, $30 for a 1tb backup router/access point.. I'm not complaining.

It's just not going to be the solution to my media setup I was hoping for.
