Hi All,

Please see attached for a pretty big clearance on games in Target starting from tomorrow. These are permanent price changes so the “New Price” will be the ongoing price until the stock is sold out. Stock of these skus won’t be in all stores so please go into your local store to suss out stock levels (or go to Target.com.au). Stores will also be in the process of setting up the clearance but if you see something on shelf at the old price, it will scan at the new price so you will be covered.

I’ve highlighted the console markdowns for those of you interested and there is some good pricing on Skylanders Trap Team figures. The rest is pretty old stock (and I know some of it has been cheaper elsewhere at various points) but there might be some stuff in there that you missed out on previously.

Update from Melbourne Bourke St, I was first up the escalators, there were no consoles, multiple copies of games for all platforms. There were a couple of dudes buying up large, and I met a couple of ozbargainers.

Just so people don't waste a trip, Macquarie Centre didn't have any stock. Chatswood sold out this morning. The rest of the stores are too far away for me to check…

I was at Melbourne CBD at 8:05 and already saw 8 guys there with 1 buying 10 copies of Call of Duty (mostly black ops 2 and a few MW3).

Three phones were ringing at 8:20, with the staff already knowing they're about the Xbox One consoles.

No 2DS consoles either and no more cheap Nintendo games with Club Nintendo codes left.

      This on top of my 3AM order of The Evil Within and Dark Souls 2 on XBONE (see previous page of comments for timestamp) and I'm pretty happy with my efforts today!
      
      Also, see how I didn't go and buy 10 copies of the same game. I like to spread the love in Ozb for these sales, like when I used to work at GAME and Dick Smith and David Jones and tipped everyone off about the deals.

      Me I don't really care either way if others buy five or ten. That's just retail. If the store has no limits imposed buy 100 if you want. I don't care its a free society. If those people flip them on Gumtree or whatever that's fine too. Free society tiny version of the free market in action etc. Not for me, but I wouldn't particularly judge others.

      I wouldn't use the word "scum" personally (way too harsh), but buying 10 copies of the same game (probably to sell on eBay/Gumtree) is selfish, and very different from getting to a store early to buy a game that you actually want to play.

      HHmm. Ozbargain is a sharing community so people stocking up on 10 copies of the game to flip them is annoying and is basically scalping if there are others in line that will miss out.
      
      I managed to get my XBONE console for $299 but Armadale already told me I could only have 1 per person. Fair policy. The girl said if I came back in the afternoon and there were some left she'd forget I was there in the morning. I have no problem with this.
      
      I don't openly call the scalpers scum n a public forum but I get the incentive to call them that when other Ozbargain community members miss out. Not in the right spirit.

  For instance, looking at the discount list, if I enter 55242097 in the search field on Target's website, I see that the Skylanders Swap Force Starter Pack for the Xbox One is indeed $5, down from $34 (although not actually in stock online).

  I feel as though you did pretty good. Beyond Two Souls is a pretty good game, it does have some mixed reviews but for $9 you can't go wrong. Far Cry 3 is also a really good game. I too bought Dark Souls 2 so I can't tell if that game is any good or not and I haven't played Brazil Soccer but in all honestly, $34 for 4 games is a good deal IMO.

Thanks OP. Went to Target St Marys and Mount Druitt and picked up the following games:
Boberlands 2 Game of the Year Edition - PS3
Dark Souls II - PS3
Batman Arkham Collection - PS3
Wonderbook of Spells Bundle - PS3 (mainly for the move controller.)

I also was going to pick up Dishonored for the PS3 as it's $15 but at St Mary's the game of the year edition had a $22 sticker on it but the game was scanning up for $29. They honored the price for $22 so for an extra $8's you can get the game of the year edition.

I also wanted to pick up Alien Isolation though the staff at Mt Druitt couldn't find the game or booklet but took my name anyway just in case if they find it. Going to Macquarie Centre today as I attend uni there and have reserved WWE 2k15 for the PS3 so hopefully that is there and hopefully they have a copy of Alien Isolation.

EDIT: Also forgot to mention St Mary's and Mount Druitt stores had no idea about the reduction in the prices of games. I also believe there was a fellow Ozbarginer at Mount Druitt, so if you were and reading this, nice meeting you! :)

Fair few of the Essentials PS3 games among others at Target Watergardens. Alien Isolation, Far Cry 3, Red Dead Redemption are few of the ones I remember. Also had PS4, Xbox and Wii/Wii U Games though i didn't look as to which ones they had there exactly.

    I managed to get FIFA 2014 World Cup, Far Cry 3 and AC Black Flag. They only had the GOTY edition of Dishonored which is at $29 not $15.
    
    Had to go over to the other side of town for some work though and got Dishonored and Watchdogs from The Centro Glen Target. I took some photos of the shelves so ill post up a list later.

I took all the games that I had an interest in to the nearest scanner (the next aisle). You can scan all the prices yourself and then keep the games you want.

That technique obviously doesn't work for the games behind the counter .

  I got it the other day. Not bad, but beware huge bug in the second level. At one point the screen goes blank if you die at the chopper scene. Google Blank Screen Battlefield 4 ps3.

Just picked up the last Xbox One at Rhodes.
Call up them up and told them to hold it for me.
The guy told me that just after I called 2 people came in and asked if they had any.

Got several Wii U games and Skylanders expansion packs, even had about 6 of the Dragonfire Canon pack from Giants left at Helensvale and quite a few Swap Force. Also have the Giants and Swap Force starter packs for Wii U and PS3 left.They had a few 2DS locked up but did not look for anything else.

Sales guy was surprised by the prices and after serving me went to grab a few things himself.

Oddly though the Skylanders Trap Team Duo packs have gone up in price to $20 while everything else was down.

I popped into Target Queanbeyan this morning at 8:30am (just happened to be on my way to Canberra, so was convenient). There were plenty of 2DS's available for those interested, including all the Pokemon models. I didn't spot any of the other consoles though (but there may have been some out the back).

On the software side there was plenty of those on the list available. I grabbed Wiiu U Black Ops 2 and Epic Mickey 2. There was still more left, along with Fifa 13 and some of the Nintendo titles which weren't as heavily discounted.

Hi guys just went to Harvey Norman local shop and they did price match easily got WWE 2k15 for 35$ maybe you guys should give it a try for games.
