Jetstar Spring Fever Sale: Domestic from $29, International from $89 (NZ return GC/Syd/Mel $170)

740

Jetstar has just launched a Spring Fever Sale. There are too many fares & destinations to list individually, so please use the link to find what you need by selecting Departure & Arrival cities. Heaps of seats available across all sectors at time of posting.

Note: The $29 fares are Melbourne (Avalon) < - > Sydney only and aren't available on Fridays & Sundays. Other domestic fares start at $39 and are available on all days. Happy travels :)

No idea why some can't see the fares, but here's some screenshots:

Booking/service fees don't apply for payments made by POLi, Voucher, Jetstar MasterCard, Jetstar Platinum MasterCard, or any MasterCard debit card (using phone/mobile).

  • Where did it go? Only showing Hot Fares now?

    • It's all there. Just make sure you select your departure & arrival cities under Special Offers.

      • I was looking at Mel > Launceston in March, now all the Spring deals have gone and only showing hot fares even if I reopen the link from here. Hmm.

Edit: WEIRD! Showing them in IE, not in Chrome. Damn airline shenanigans.

    • Can only see "Hot Fares" too.
      *Edit: works in Chrome

        • i dont see anything like that, just regular prices.

        • @blahman: Try changing browsers like other have suggested above.

        • @tightarse:
no worky for both ff and edge

          edit: not even Opera

          @blahman:

Mine is actually going backwards and forwards, first it was showing in Chrome, then only in IE, then not in IE and only in Chrome, now nowhere. Don't they want my money?! What sort of business model is this?!

Just randomly opening, closing and refreshing tabs seems to bring it back.

        • @AngryAlfred:

This is why I hate these travel sites and their fare adjusting code and what not.

  • whattt cant see it? expired?

    • read above… try diff browser

Question is how would you get from Melbourne CBD to Avalon airport which is almost middle of nowhere. If I catch a bus, It would cost me $44 for a round trip between the city and the airport. Taxi would be even more expensive. At least there are some public transports available at the Melbourne airports.(Bus 901, Broadmeadows Station)

    • Why are you going from Avalon? Avalon > Sydney $29, Tulla > Sydney $49. Avalon > GC $49 Tulla > GC $59. Cheaper and more convenient than catching the bus to just go from Tullamarine.

      • +1

Yes, airfares are cheaper but the cost of getting myself to Avalon would cost much as the actual airfare from Avalon to other places which is ridiculous if you think about it. I'd pay extra for a flight from Tullamarine.

        • Probably why Jetstar are being paid to stay in Avalon

      • Are you getting sales fares Tulla-> GC? It doesn't show for me

I was last night but now nothing is showing in Chrome. Deleted my Jetstar cookies and opened IE And they are showing up at $59. Dates are Jan 28 - Mar 23, and May 4 - Jun 22 if you want to search manually as IWTF commented belw.

        • @AngryAlfred: thanks!

    • $22 bus to the CBD from avalone. Is that a private bus? What would the taxi fare be like?

      • About $150…

        • Oh wow. That's not worth it then.

Anyone used Ubank to make the direct deposit payment before? It's not on their list explicitly but NAB is and Ubank is part of NAB (Ubank's BSB comes up as NAB). I paid using that but am now a little worried it won't go through properly.

      All the time. Don't stress.

      • Thanks. Stopped stressing thanks to your reply :) (no sarcasm intended here, I stress a lot.)

        • It doesn't help that it takes up to 3 business days for the payment to clear, nor does the incoming weekend help either.
But try to enjoy what time you have.

        • Oh crap, I forgot about the weekend! Hoping it makes it through by tonight.

        • I wouldn't count on it.

        • My email confirmation of funds received just came through. I trust yours has also been processed?

  • Sigh.cant see it in either browser.

Where are you seeing those NZ fares TA? Can't see anything that low.

just a note for young players that melbourne avalon is 50km away from melbourne city

But a good place to land if you want to start with Great Ocean Road. :)

    • It should also be noted it has very poor transport links. IF you don't hire a car the only other option is the overpriced airport shuttle bus. There is no affordable public transport and it's in the middle of no where.

Need. Japan. Sale. (for 2016 dates)

    • I'm 99% sure something cheaper and more direct will come up for Japan for the snow season, but booking six months ago has definitely made it less stressful overall.. Being able to lock in accom etc has been great.

I got $580 return with AirAsia (via Kuala Lumpur, unfortunately).

I have a $1000 voucher I need to use by end of Oct (had an accident and couldn't fly earlier this year, I bought those tickets during the sale from November 2014 ~$500 return)

        C'mon Jetstar!

  • Make sure you combine these sale fares with your gift vouchers which you may have purchased last week - effectively 10% less

  • $538 SYD-HNL rt pretty good too.

  • Thanks, bought Singapore return $430!! So bloody cheap

    • i cant see this in the sale fares… what dates is this for? cheers

      • It may have sold out but it's Melbourne to Singapore Late November and then home Late Feb

      • oh ok, cheers :)

  • just made a booking. was rushing. so got the return date wrong. instead of 20th jan, i got 21st of jan. also already made the net bank transfer. silly me. wonder how much it will cost to change the date.

It's easier to ask (your boss) for forgiveness than permission.

    • Everything but international long haul is $50 per person per flight, so I'd imagine this means there and back, $100 per person.

International long haul is $75 per person per flight. I am unsure as to whether they will also make you pay a fare difference if the next day is more expensive, I know that Airasia does.

So uh, probably better to just sweet talk your manager.

  • Woohoo, cheap weekend to the gold coast for the January long weekend :)

  • Thanks TA, Booked Brisbane to Newcastle return for GF & I. $158 and now i get to go see Cirque du soleil there in january.
