    Call telstra and ask.

    • -7

      What for?

      • +2

You asked if it's real or not. Phone telstra and ask them.

        • I just rang them.

The Pinoys had no idea what I was talking about!

          @sydneylisa:
Meaning it's not a real deal.
Any deals come up in their scripts.

        • @PVA: are you seriously suggesting Telstra staff actually know all deals, and are 100% competent?

  • try

  • Tried it and got a reply
"Thanks for your SMS but currently we are not handling any messages"

  • check the email headers.

    • -2

      What for?

      • +3

If you read the headers you can work out who the sender was, which servers it went through. Might be a bit advanced for you though, nvm

        • Yep, too advanced for me I'm afraid.

But has anyone else had this email?

        • +1

@sydneylisa: If you're capable of posting on OzBargain, you're capable of checking email headers. Don't conflate laziness with incompetence.

        • +2

@xyron: Posting replies on a webpage does not equate to going into advanced options in an email client and looking at a whole heap of jargon.

        • +1

          @Flying Ace:

          I agree.

          I'm not a techo, zyron.

  • WOW A WHOLE GB?

    STOP THE INTERNET!

    • +3

Yep, indeed it is! a Pointless Comment! :)

An extra gig on you phone is prob a good deal.

  • It works,

its an "incentive" they are using. BUT it's targeted so only for accounts they nominate.

I have had two of these on the ipad sims I activated that we bought here for $2

Tip - Keep your old sims sometimes they will do this aftera few months of non useage

I was "given" one a week ago and its now active in my iPad

    • Are they only on Data packs?

Or do they give free calls on the other Prepaid plans?
