  • I wanted a 1TB $99.00 portable hard drive but they are excluded!
    How stupid.

I have been wanting to get a Pebble watch. DS are putting their prices up and then offering a discount.
Watching the normal price of the Pebble Red being $110, it has now jumped to $149, but I can get $25 off, BFD.
I am getting sick of this type of price manipulation.

  • Any exclusions???

    • +5

Don't you mean - Any inclusions?

      • Usually you post bargains to Ozbargain. Dick Smith posts exclusions. That's the joke.

    • Yes. Mate. Exclude everything except dos brand batteries

    • Dick Smith!

  • and the bargain is?

Getting $70 of a brand new, not yet released tablet?

Therein is your title - the rest is guff.

        • +2

Well no, that is how I applied the deal. The title is required to list the deal - not boast about how I used it. Its a title to provide information, not story time.

The deal is the range of discounts available based on spend. Yes there is a lengthy exclusion list, as is typical with Dicksmith deals. However, if you take EVERYTHING THEY SELL and subtract the exclusions then you still end up with a lot of discounted objects.

Honestly, this site is full of whingers who will complain about a deal if it doesn't give them a blowjob for 99 cents with free shipping.

You've got it all back to front, the bargain is what matters, hence the site name.
Member since 2013 and you sound surprised that we aren't going crazy over a Dick every 2nd day coupon code.

        • @luke73:

The bargain is what you make of the discount codes. If I'd listed "$70 off new tablet when adding headphones and using FAVE70 at dicksmith.com.au" the deal wouldn't have been posted.

          From the Wiki -
          People generally value their time.
If you know there is a good bargain or two in a sale, catalogue or store, it's a good idea to mention one or even two bargains, in the title, and provide direct links where possible, to those items.

@enviroguy: Thanks for the post reflecting a bargain. Nearest price is $457 for the Tab 2

          @cornbeef:
I likes an argument I do.

  • I bought JBL Charge for $74, not a bad price.
