3 Step Steel Ladder 120kg Capacity $12 @ Officeworks

1280

I generally don't post OW clearance deals, but I know there is some stock available. I purchased one at Bayswater (VIC) and they had about 11 left. Fitzroy said they had 4 and South Melbourne said they had 2. Some other stores are showing limited stock.

I also searched postcodes 2000, 4000, 5000, 6000 and 7000 and there are some stores showing stock, some showing limited stock.

There is also a 2 Step version for $8. The Bayswater store had I think only a couple available.

This is a further reduction in price from the previously posted deal

if it's in stock in a store why can't I click and collect

      • Don't take this as gospel, as this isn't my area of expertise, but my understanding is Click and Collect is only available if there is Stock on Hand (SOH) at the warehouse, as this is where the stock is coming from.

I'm grossly offended at being dumped in with the NSW crowd….. :P.

Sometimes I think ACT should just be merged with NSW and turned into NSACT.

      • We don't need any more Tuggers in NSW.

        • Everyone needs a good tuggers.

    • I went to the Cannington (WA) store on Saturday the 12th at 4pm. They had both sizes of these exact same ladders, but there were no signs saying they're in clearance. The two step version is $32.(and something cents) and the three step version is $52.(and something cents).

So it is $4 a step?

    • +12

$2.40 if you count coming down again.. ;)

      • Edit: Nevermind :)

      • Not to mention, every time you use it the $/s goes down!

  • North Sydney, still about 4 3 step ones left.

    Update - all gone

  • I got mine for $10 without having to ask :)

This ladder might be handy for those who need to get to their eneloops in storage.

Personally I am sure many members hope Broaden buys a lot and slips over whilst climbing one. :)

  • Bought one before and returned it, too heavy for my dad

    • +2

These are one of the lightest ladders you can buy.

Your dad is either too frail and shouldn't even be using a ladder, or one incredible really weak man.

      • +1

No, my dad is stronger than yours!

      • Lightest ladder that you can buy???!!! what a complete load of BS.

I went to the Brisbane Adelaide st store at lunchtime, but was put off because of the weight of both the 3 step and 2 step ladders.

I'd guess that the 3 step was somewhere between 5 & 7kg, and the 2 step was 3 to 4 kg.

My extendable ladder from Aldi weighs less than the 3 step… and this is surely why they're on sale.

      • These ones are not particularly light - they're steel, not aluminium, and they have very deep steps as well. They do require a bit of hefty to move them around.

On the plus side, though, the depth of the steps is great - you feel very secure standing on them.

  • good price.

  • East Vic Park, O'Connor & East Perth stores out of stock in WA.

    • Freo has 5 of the three steps and 2 of the two steps at around 11 today

  • I can confirm the Marion store in SA have a heap of 2 step ladders left for $8 but no 3 step

  • Spent 20 minutes in store with staff looking for the in stock 2 step. They finally gave up but on my way out found them on the end of an aisle. Seven left at 3pm at postcode 2560.

  • Just rang Fairy Meadow. The guy in the furniture department said he couldn't see any.

I'll take his word for it, as can't be buggered driving 20 minutes to the store, just to walk away empty handed. But if anyone else in the Illawarra tries their luck, please post back whether or not there is any of these left, cheers.

  • Subiaco WA is out of the 3 step
Osborne Park WA is out of both the 2 and 3 step

  • There's also 150 kg version in store for $50 something , not the same obviously!

    • +1

that's certainly not suitable for 3ah3ah's dad - way too heavy for him to carry !!

  • Tuggeranong has one less now but it seems there may have been more purchases around 1. The ladders weren't even on the floor yet and the sales guy I talked to wasn't sure how we knew about them.

I told him I'm from a community called OZB where we know about stuff before everyone else does.

    • Ta dude. Rang them at 6 and the guy told me they were sold out. I was like really? and he was like really!

      • +1

I went in there at about 4

  • I've got the 3 step one. Bought for $25 I think 2 months ago. Good for changing light globes. Sturdy enough

  • I have had this model for years. Works well.

  • out stock in my area, oh well next time.

    Cheers.

  • None of either size at Highett, Vic.

  • Gotta be careful with these 3 step ladders. One more step, and you're dead.

  • Caroline springs had a few 2step units.

  • Masters has a 3 step ladder for $17 on clearance also https://www.masters.com.au/product/101326780/faulkner-3-step…

  • I welded 4 of these together to make it suitable for an Alcoholics Anonymous member friend of mine.
