  • So you can price match this at your local OfficeWorks? Even if it's an online store?

  • Yes, Officeworks will match online stores. They call the online store and confirm they have stock. He tried to add the $13 delivery charge but I said the other store allows pickups, so choose online sotres that have a phone number to call and also allow pickups!

    • you are lucky….. my local officeworks@Mt Gravatt QLD, won't let me match internet prices even if the store allows pick up. eg. Umart has an internet price and retail price , the internet price being you order it first before pick up…but the guy just said "no, we don't match internet prices." ..they just avoiding price match when ever they can

      • That is so WRONG! They don't have the right to refuse a legit competitors price. Online stores are just as bona fide (usually). If I was you I would ring their head office and complain.

Dear Officeworks - your price match guarantee is SPECIFICALLY designed to put small independent businesses out of business, so don't b*tch when people want to use your offer!

        • I believe Competition Law is specifically designed so that companies CAN'T do that :)

      • In case this helps, I contacted Officeworks head office about an iTunes price match issue in November. Here's the company's response in clarifying their guarantee:

Please be advised that Officeworks guarantees to have the lowest prices everyday. Our guarantee is that we bring you the lowest prices possible every day, and that is a promise. However, if you happen to find a cheaper price on a identically stocked item, even if it is on sale, we will not only match it, but also beat it by 5% for bringing it to our attention. Please note that prices may be lower than advertised to ensure lowest prices everyday. Excludes price liquidations and contract pricing.

To get your item price matched you will need to either call our customer service centre on 1300 633 423 or visit 1 of our many Officeworks stores, with the competitors price details.

  • Officeworks also have a small selection of hard drives that can be price matched the same way with something like www.staticice.com.au

  • Ash, I suggest you ask Officeworks online to price match for you then, my workmate did this before Christmas with a hard drive. I think their delivery for same day (order before 11.30am) or overnight deal for $4.95 is pretty good too!

Or worse case, order online from one of the IT retailers selling for $87. Still a great price.

  • Works great at Officeworks Croydon in SA
They asked i login to the iibuy site to confirm postage (which they add on) and i ended up paying $107.74 total :)

    very nice!!!!!
