  • ABN? Don't think 19 stars will comply with Ozbargain policies - MODERATOR?

    • The ABN is at the end of the post for you. As the transaction will be completed via eBay, you are protected under eBay buyers policy which should give you the peace of mind for the transaction. Please let me know if you have any problems and I will be able more than happy to help. As we are new, there isn't lots of review on us but I am here on ozbargain since 2011 posting one of the best deals of the D-Link Router with the profit of $15. Give us a chance and you will not be disappointed with the price and the service

      • ABN is not coming up in ABN lookup.

        • Hi, the ABN has been registered this morning so it should be on by now. We have contacted the ABN lookup service with our ABN number so it should appear soon. If you are keen on the ABN, please let me know and I will be happy to share the ABN registration screen when it was complete via private message for confidentiality purposes.

Update: it is now up on ABN lookup

        • @IanK: Thanks a lot for that

  • ozbargain panniers - laptop bags from an op shop $5 each. can of waterproofing spray $5.

    • Haha, that is what I think as well, and don't forget the free plastic bag from the supermarket LOL. But for a bike rider, you cannot go pass this one. This is IP 64 in terms of waterproof and dust proof, which means that it is the highest level of dust proof and completely waterproof unless you submerge it into water. So you can ride all day and leave this bag under a heavy rain without worrying about a single drop of rain leaking inside the bag. Don't forget the QL2.1 mounting system which means you can attach and remove the bag from the rack in a matter of second, literally.

    • Hi there, the first quote is 149 but it is in Eur, in AUD, it should be around $236 according to google. Weak Aussie dollar is the culprit unfortunately for all Australians like us

The second quote is for the Classic material, which is heavier and attracts heavy-industrial look. The Plus material on the other hand is lighter, feels more contemporary thanks to its fabric look. It is also for the front roller model. Basically, the difference is that the front roller is smaller than the back roller and is meant to be attached to the front rack of the bike.

For the third quote, it is also the Classic material vs the Plus material. please see the second point

Please keep looking as we genuinely want to bring the best price to Ozbargain fellows.

      Hey deal junkie

Any chance you have a grudge here? Two failed attempts to discredit this deal!

      • +2

No grudge, just had some time to kill

        • +1

No worries buddy, I completely understand why you had to do it. But on the other hand, it gives us a chance to stand up and justify ourselves to be up to what we claim we are. If you have any other questions, please let me know and I am happy to answer all of them

      • haha, just one difficult customer to please, but we believe he/she is pretty happy now

  • If you guys are interested in the any other Ortlieb products, be it the outdoor gears or the moto panniers, please let me know and I will attempt to get it for you at the best possible price

    • How about spare parts? My back roller rubber part of the strap has broken.

      • Hi, I can have a look for you if you can tell me the part number. However, as I glanced through Ortlieb website, I cannot find that particular part, the only thing I could find is the strap itself. Please have a look on Ortlieb website again in case I missed something (https://www.ortlieb.com/en/produkte/ersatzteile/)

        • It looks like I have to buy all of it. What a shame as the strap is still good. It looks like E116. Thanks.

        • @octagonalman: Hi, I can get it for you at $14, postage included. If you are interested, please let me know and I will create a listing for you

        • +1

@shinichiduy: Sounds good; let's do it.

        • +1

@octagonalman: apologise for the delay. The listing will be on tonight for you

        • @shinichiduy: Thanks. The rubber part appears to have been updated in design and is more comfortable with overloaded panniers. You probably have a decent chance in the Ortlieb spare parts market since these products are so long lasting and nobody else seems to have bothered with them on Ebay Australia.

  • Also, If you guys prefer the classic look and the cheaper price of the Back Roller Classic, but with some unique texture, please check out the Back Roller Design at $175 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ortlieb-Back-Roller-Classic-Desig…

As usual, the price is the best on the market. If you find any cheaper and comparable price, please let me know and I will try my best to match it

Great deal, can't recommend Ortlieb bags high enough. The only reason I haven't jumped on this is that I already own a pair of classics I bought in 2006. I've ridden them to work every day for 8 years, and done some epic treks around Japan and they still look nearly new and are water-tight.

    • Thanks a lot for the review. I think 10 year should enough to try new things (well, may be not for marriage though). I believe that you would be amazed as to the material of the Plus line as compare to the Classic line you are having now. If you are around Melbourne, I am happy for you to have a look at the product before you decide if you want to make a change.

  • How do you mount these on? I just started riding my bike again and I don't have a lot of experience with this sorta stuff yet.

    • This panniers can be mounted if your bike has a rear rack. They will clip on the real rack automatically and you can remove them with a simple pull, no tool is needed.

Check out this video on Ortlieb website and you will see what I mean. If you have any other questions, please let me know

  • +1 for the quality of Ortlieb bags.

A colleague showed me his Roller Plus before I bought the Classic.
The material feels nice, is thinner (Cordura fabric?) is lighter, but the colours don't suit my purpose.
I bought the bright yellow Classics for commuting.

You need a pannier rack for the rear of your bike to use these.
If you are carrying stuff everyday (like commuting), then rack+bags are a good investment and prevent a sweaty back…

    • Thanks for vouching for the quality of Ortlieb panniers. Don't forget the 5 year international warranty policy of Ortlieb should you have any problems with your panniers. I believe that while yellow is unique to the Classic, green is unique to the Plus line. In my opinion, while the yellow is exceptionally bright, the green brightness is still comparable. So please look into green in the future if you are interested into the plus line.

To add to your comment, the rack can be any racks on the market and does not have to be Ortlieb special rack. Well, there are always exception but if this is the case, I believe that there are only few of them.

  • Just a note to say I am pretty impressed by the sellers responses on this deal. Good to see no talking in circles, or excuse making.
Not a bike user tho, so no sale here. (I came here because of the waterproof bag and possible other applications for other camera/electronic gear, etc).

    • As I strive my best to provide the best possible customer service while also trying to be honest about the products, I am very delighted to hear that you are happy with my service.

Ortlieb also manufactures much more 100% waterproof products that are not for bicycles. To name a few there are camera bags, backpacks, phone cases, map cases, picnic gears…. All of them are 100% waterproof to the highest quality possible and some of them are even possible for you to submerge into water (look for IP67), yes, even the backpacks.

I have complied a special Ortlieb catalogue just about anything but cycling for you. Please follow the link to download it (it is quite heavy, about 20MB so be careful when using mobile data). Please have a look and tell me if you would like anything to appear on our store. Again, I can guarantee that the price you will receive is the best one in Australia.
