Online Marketing and outsourcing is a bit of challenge for startups and small businesses , found a couple of offers on Udemy courses, good to kickoff your digital marketing journey when you are low on budget.

  1. Website Secrets: Get a Gorgeous Website on the Cheap
    https://www.udemy.com/how-to-get-an-excellent-website-at-a-l…
"Website : Work smarter on your website development, design and implementation through intelligent subcontracting"
    Coupon: VK(WEB)

I myself is working on getting my startup's website redeveloped from an offshore contractor and it is going good. The good thing about this course is it not only teaches you how to get your website redeveloped but alsohelps you with taking your first step towards low cost offshore outsourcing. I think this feedback from a course taker there sums it up

"Before I enroll in this course, I was pretty skeptical about outsourcing work to freelancers as I feel I do not know enough in order to manage them well. Now I am so much more open to outsourcing work. Thanks to the confidence I gained from going through this course! If you're looking to outsource, but feel overwhelmed by the whole process, take this course."

2.Minimalist Marketing - End Marketing Dread

  • The "Youtube: Marketing and Promotion For Small Businesses Online" coupon code has expired.

    • Sorry, just updated with another course on marketing, it is working

  • Sorry, the coupon code "freepromo" has expired.

  • Deal is no deal, coupon doesn't work.

    • First one worked for me.

      • Sorry for that, just updated the second one, found another one on marketing.

Thanks for this. I could get the second one, but the first Coupon code didnt work :( Is that code VK(WEB)?

    • The code worked :)
      Disregard the previous comment :)

works for me .Thanks. Try the Redeem a Coupon instead of redeeming when clicking on take the course link.

  • Thanks spiderdash! :)

  • cheers, I am skeptical on how good this will be ..but it's free, so why not check it out right :D

  • thanks Op, Deal still works for "Website Secrets: Get a Gorgeous Website on the Cheap"

  • +1

BOTH still work and are free. They are full price initially (unlike the "Free for a limited time" we usually see here) but you've got to click "Redeem a Coupon" link under the price and use the coupon code mentioned.

  • Make sure you don't have a space in front of the coupon, then it works :)

  • ty, worked fine.

Just looked at the minimal marketing course and it's a crock of shit - someone talking for 90 mins saying "have 4 sales a year". No data, figures, examples, etc. Little to no content, just blabbing. For someone to talk about marketing and have this nasty arse website, wow, don't waste your time. I'll check the other course too.

Did you even look at these courses?!? The website one is how to order a website, full of ads and spam. FFS

    • cool down mate, they didn't rip you off, and if you read the description the you should get your answer (ordering = outsourcing), it was not about becoming a web developer.

and the minimalist marketing course was not in the original post, I had another course but the presenter expired the coupon and I found a replacement in good faith, yes I didn't check it but honestly rather then exploding here it would be better if you had provided your feedback in a positive way (and may come up with a better alternative) I and other ozbargainers would really appreciate that. Anyways I am adding a note to the description.

Dude, they are both a waste of time. I didn't explode, I reviewed them. OzBargain deals arn't about finding alternatives, use the forum to discuss that. Seriously did you even look at the courses??

        • +3

Yes I did check the website course, look I have been working with freelancers for over a year now, I have learned the hard after losing my time and money, what this guy is saying in there is valid, just skip his promo content

        • +1

          FWIW - you exploded.
there was no call whatsoever to be so rude about getting something for nothing. Ozbargain also isnt whatever you decide it is.
This sort of aggression just means people dont bother posting at all, even great posts, instead of learning from small errors.

        • @mycosys:
What did I get for nothing? Loss of time. What a great deal. The comments are here for a reason: to comment on the deal. I hope other people don't lose time because of this, hence why I posted.

Thanks for contributing nothing relevant yourself. This deal fails the first rule of OzBargain - 'Only good bargains, please'. These 'courses' a literally worth less than nothing. I suggest you refer to the guidelines before saying I made up the rules. There is no part where users are meant to find alternatives to crap deals being posted (as the OP said I should do). In fact the poster is meant to investigate whether the deal is good and competitive.

Care to point out how I was rude? (rather than being critical of the deal?) I would be glad if people didn't post these 'deals' as they dilute out the good ones.

        • @brenwildman:

Did you even look at these courses?!? The website one is how to order a website, full of ads and spam. FFS

directed at OP, not just a review. implied swearing at them - RUDE!

        • @mycosys:
By not responding to most of the points I interoperate that you've conceded you were wrong.

FFS is clearly in the context of the ads and spam of that 'deal' - namely frustration at how crap of a 'deal' it is. How is FFS swearing at someone? Stupid logic would also claim WTF is swearing at someone. All your accusations are based on emotion and are pathetic, baseless, unhelpful and I've shown are wrong.

        • @brenwildman:

I am reminded of the saying about a playing chess with a pigeon.
You do strut well, i must say

        • @mycosys: I appreciate that you took the time (over a week) to write a response that confirms everything I've said. Don't play chess - the pigeon will shit all over you; figuratively and literally.

The website one is basically a Greek guy promoting an outsourcing website developed by other two Greek guys, and while doing so he throws in one or two advices. So to be honest I learned a thing or two from the guy.
