THE UV INDEX SUN UV LIGHT STATION

The Sun UV Station is a portable UV Meter which displays a number called the "UV Index" which is a standardised scale which indicates the intensity of the sun's UV radiation that affects the human body (skin and eyes). UV intensities vary from one place to another and will vary in the same location different times of the day and as the seasons change. The higher the UV rating the more care you should take when in the sun. The UV index can made a large difference in the amount of time you can spend in the sun before getting sunburn.

The Sun UV Station is a great tool for anyone who works or spends time outdoors to manage their exposure to UV Radiation.

Ideal applications include;

Schools
Childcare Centres
Swimming Pools
Outdoor work places
Building sites
Play equipment

The Sun UV Station is completely portable so it's easy to carry with you to any location. It sets up in seconds and clearly displays the UV index.

    Cool, ordered. Just finished our backyard and was a bit worried about the family getting burnt by accident. Shipping is a bit high but the overall price looks good.

    I'm not sure about the comments about "midday hours", isn't the entire point to look at the UV and not at the time of day to determine how much expose you want? :)

    Digital ones are $19 delivered on eBay.

    You may also acquire the current UV index for free->$3 from any good smartphone weather app. (Cost of phone excluded)

    This is a nice design though.

    If you live in Queensland don't even bother. You get fried everyday of the year.
    Might as well put this on the wall: http://www.arpansa.gov.au/uvindex/models/briuvmodel.htm

    Uses 3 x AA Batteries

    If only there was a way to harness the power of the sun to power small electrical devices like this…
