    I changed the tips to the senheiser ones that I'd have from years ago - the fit was a huge improvement.

    Also, I bought these white 2.1 pistons and received a triple flange type tip - like these: http://www.addictedtoaudio.com.au/product/shure-shr-eatfl1-6… . They were really comfortable, and made the sound great due to the better fit.

    Still, the best - and what I have in right now - are the Comply Memory Foam tips. Make sure you pick the right one for the model of headphone you have! The Pistons are listed.

    And just for the record, I far preferred the Piston 2.1 over the Piston 3s - the 3s have a better design, better mic cable and placement, but the sound… the sound is no where near as good as on the 2.1

    I have considered that perhaps I received fakes, but everything else I've bought from Musthtato has been excellent, so I assume that it's just the design isn't as good.

  Mine have just arrived. Droz'z triple flange tips are there - and make one hell of a difference to the base response of these. It was acceptable with the plain tips, but fully there with the triple flange units. They were recognised straight away by the Xperia, but I was a bit worried as the music sounded a little bit scratchy in places - and kicked myself when I realised it was a transcribed vinyl.
  The clarity, balance and range are as gob-smackingly superb as the reviews have said. I usually hate buds, but I'll stick with these. I was hoping for "OK" for the price, and I'm blown away before they have even started to bed in….
