How to purchase a TV - Thanks to azzatron
You have to go to the main page that lists the tv's. Then click on the "check store stock" button for the tv you want. It'll show what stores you can collect from. In Sydney there were quite a few for most of the Samsung TV's. Select the desired store from that page then it'll add to your cart. Enter your cart and just checkout as normal.
Be careful though, when I was checking out it didn't automatically apply the promo code even though I had it already applied in my cart. I had to enter it again in the promotional voucher section during checkout.
I know this won't work for everyone, but it should help some of you. Good luck!

Thanks, got the Tab S 8.4 Can anyone recommend a good case?

    • We got this one at first. If it is for protection I would avoid this type which click into the two button holes in the back. We dropped it recently and it broke away from the two holes (ripped the buttons out from the case) and cracked the screen.

We then bought this one which is similar to the one we have on our older 10.5" tab. It is much sturdier and offers better protection. Comes with a little stylus which is handy.

Is it really matter to upgrade to uhd?

If you have UHD (4K) content, yes. For FTA TV, no

      • ADSL 1 crappy allowance only for me, so 4k tv is way way off, netflix seems to run ok

Only have to wait another two years for NBN :-)

      • I got a new JU7500 during EOFY sales and etc and have to say, if the FTA channel is HD the picture is a LOT better than any of my previous TVs (Sony Plama, Samsung LCD both FHD). Same goes for Foxtel.

Now before someone get angty, Im not saying it's not 4K quality

        • "Im not saying it's not 4K quality"

Your saying its 4K quality… Geeez you make me angty!

      • Yeah what LoungeL Said, obv don't buy it for FTA, You need to content first, There is a lot of 4k content coming though, Netflix will have content soon too

        • Netflix already has some content… Not as many movies as tv shows though. You can also just check netflix us since their content is a lot better

        • @educalifa: I didn't think the content was available here yet

        • @TRENT86:

Thankfully it is, not lots obviously but you have some good stuff like House of Cards, Narcos and etc.

You could always go to your "My account" (ozbargain) and select your "files" and upload it there, then copy the link and post as a reply

I swear they use to be free?
Since its a paid for service for reviews on products I boycott the site.

      • You only ever got partial reviews for free. It's been a paid site for years at least.

        • Thanks mate, wasnt sure.
As I said, since its a paid service for reviews, I'll stay well clear of them.
I encourage open source discussions and reviews, that way people get honest and free information from willing contributors, eg Ozbargain, Whirlpool, reddit etc

          @ozy:

Hmm, I don't think that is the right attitude. You pay so they can maintain their independence. That way, they're not accepting money from manufactures for favourable reviews. Their reviews are also more in-depth and can be more technical than your average consumer review.

Buy the review and support them.

Hey guys, bit of a heads up. There's a way you can still buy most of these Samsung TV's it seems. I just purchased the UA50JU6400 for example, even though when I clicked the link from this post it said out of stock.

Good luck!
