  • Thanks TA, I was one of those that missed out last week.

    • I'd be quick. As I said, stock everywhere but don't be surprised if DSE changes that soon :)

        No worries mate, got one.

  • Finally got a Jackson world adaptor. Been wanting one since these kept coming up and kept missing it.

    • Looks solid in most respect, only downside I see to this is that it doesn't have an earth pin, so cannot be used if you have an Australian 3 pin plug

      • +1

Apparently it's not legal to sell a worldwide adapter that has an earth pin (since some countries don't use them, which could lead to you thinking a device is earthed when it is not)

        • This looks a little flimsy to me, anyone got experience with these, and don't need one any time soon, whats the usual price?

        • @yacman:

          They are about $26-$30 normally

        • @haz: thanks

      • None of my devices I travel with requires it. So I'm all good.

    • Be careful with these. I got the same device but different brand from Changi airport and it died when it was used daily in the U.S.

      Never again!

This has lasted through 3 continents and almost a dozen countries:

      • If it craps out, I get a refund so not too concerned. I also have some smaller cheaper ones. I mainly wanted the USB charging.

  • got the three pack since it is popular

Once you have it, store it beside your passport, preferably put it into a clear plastic bag with your passport.

Otherwise, when you finally need it, you probably wont be able to find it.

Alternatively, put a post-it note inside your passport, saying where you stored it.

  • I thought this might happen just after buying one full price. I'm psychic. Or Dick is predictable.

  • Thanks OP

  • Cheers, good timing as going to the UK at the end of the year!

  • Apart from delivery time, any reason not to get this instead? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Travel-Plug-Adapter-Universal-AC-…

    • Not really but I do find the Korjo ones a better quality plastic and connectors overall that the ebay ones which sometimes need some internal meddling with.

You are only burning down a hotel room in most circumstances if the connectors play up ;)

    • The cheap chinese imports don't have standards ticks. I'd imagine Korjo products do considering their cost and are sold everywhere.

I've found some of the generic ones to be super sloppy and actually fall out of sockets, which isn't ideal.

    • The Australia pins on these tend to be thinner as per the China's standards for their plug. These are made to local standards so the pins are the thicker and won't fall out of our sockets.

I like that the Japan one is sold out.

    I wonder why… :D

  • Any cheap Japan ones lying Oz bargainers?

I picked up this Belkin World Travel Surge Protector.

More than half RRP and comes with 5 country adapters.

  • Anyone having trouble at the checkout page?

  • I still haven't picked up my adapters from the previous sale
