So you saw an ad for this?…..

    • :\ an email alert

      • I know some great email alert blocking software

  • +1

I'm using Admop at the moment. It's free and looks like it does the same thing for Safari.

  • From the results of this extensive testing (https://brooksreview.net/2015/09/content-blocker-test/) Purify seems to have done very well. Not the fastest but considering this sale price it is well worth it from the looks of it.

Quote for page 4 of the testing:
"Overall, I still highly recommend 1Blocker as it consistently was fast across the board, whereas Peace was not consistently fast — showing struggles with some international sites I tested. I was glad, and impressed, to see Purify perform well on this test, and that seems like a solid option as well — and it is great to see the improvement jumps they have made."

    • I use the free version of 1Blocker, it's really good.

  • isnt this redundant, isnt iOS9 meant to have a built in ad blocker

    • iOS9 has the functionality for content blockers, but you need to install an app to block content - be it ads, style sheets, comments, fonts, images etc.

  • No support for Chrome iOS?

    • +1

Chrome doesn't utilise the Mobile Safari framework, so it won't work there. Doubt Google will ever allow something to block one of their main revenue sources.

      • I suspected as much. Wonder how OZB operators feel about people promoting products which deprive them of revenue?

        • a couple of pennies less is nothing

        • OzB has an option for logged in users to disable ads.

Whatever you do, DONT'T install Crystal!

Looks like the developer got greedy despite being No1 selling ad blocker and is now let advertisers pay him to bypass his blocker! Charge he app customers to buy his app, then extort the advertisers by offering them a way to bypass it by paying him money and the original app customer ends up with a flawed product.

  • Now $1.49 with the increase in prices. Still worth the price though.
