    a face only a mother could love…

    • +3

I think the Citizen Eco-Drive CA4036-03E looks great!

    • We're not exactly stuck for choice when it comes to watches :)

This won't change your mind, but others might like to see the faces from different angles:

      Silver CA4034-50A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYZ9nDHDRgY

      Black CA4036-03E https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3k6cWBAf6Gs

    • most watches look like unreadable piles of numbers. the BM7094-50A looks okay, the AT2150-51A looks like something out of Friday The 13th.

      • +1

What about this one Citizen Promaster BM6401-07E $139.00 plus delivery.

        • It's okay. I don't like it, but I'm sure other people will. I'm very picky. (Very very picky)

        • +1

A watch purchase is like that, maybe have a look here at Watchuseek Affordable Forum Favourites.

      • Am with lupiter on this. Can't stand scrambled faces, messy layouts, all the guts of the watch being exposed etc. Watches don't do that much (unlike smartphones) except look nice & tell the time. For me & my poor squinty eyes, I need to be able to see the hands clearly

    • +1 for pun, -1 for a bit harsh haha. It's a pretty smart looking watch for $139!

  • Shit !!

I just paid $169 for the AT2150-51A about 2 weeks ago. :( sad sad..

    • Are you happy with the watch?

      • +2

Yep, its beautiful. A bit big for my tiny wrist though but I am happy with it. Thinking of buying more watches!!

Buy more watches or a DLSR camera??

        • I know the feeling. Watches, memory cards, and camera equipment ;)

        • @Thrift:

Yeah, I planned to buy a Citizen NH749055LB and a Seiko SKA665 within the next few weeks but Starbuy offer right now tempted me greatly.

          BTW Starbuy/Starjewels Rep is awesome.

        • @HandsomeMonkey: come on buy it

        • @carlJack:

Buy which one??? I already bought 2 watches within the past month. One early this month and another just a few days ago.

        • @HandsomeMonkey: Citizen Eco-Drive AW0035-51E looks cool.

        • @carlJack:

Yeah looks cool.. Why don't you buy that and I'll buy the silver stainless steel one. :)

        • @carlJack: http://www.android-enjoyed.com/citizen-eco-drive-aw0035-51e-…

The first link from the goole, $20 cheaper :(

        • @Ametric: Not worth buying anything from Android enjoyed. They have a bad reputation.Besides the shipping is 24$ which makes it more expensive than starbuy. Well with Starbuy you can be assured to get Australian stock with proper warranty.

        • @carlJack: Thanks for your comment, didn't do a proper check about them :)

        • @HandsomeMonkey: I already own a Eco Drive along with Seiko Automatic, Casio G shock and Pebble Steel. My next one will be diver watch like Seiko Monster.

        • @carlJack:

I'll follow your footsteps and get them soon, but I am only interested in Citizen Eco Drive and Seiko Automatic/Kenetic not the Casio or Pebble. ;)

BTW what do you think of the BU3004-54E or BU000-55A? ($149,$139)

        • Oops double post.

  • +1

anyone recommend a nice watch for those with skinny wrists?
male, i found dial size~ 38mm-42mm to be the max i can wear without it looking odd

    • You'll have to be a bit more specific, what style do you like, price etc.
I have a skinny wrist & own the BM6401-07E, it's not a big watch - 40mm not including the crown.
I think it looks great and the finish is beautiful.

      • really like the style of this watch deal but they tend to be in the 45mm+ range. far too large for me :(

price range, would be keen for something sub $300 but preferably sub $200

        • I just told you the diameter is 40mm, tell me where you want the measurement from?
Otherwise have a look at some Seiko 5's, they tend to be a bit smaller.

        • i meant I like the watch style of this current deal http://www.starbuy.com.au/citizen-mens-eco-drive-chronograph…

I have heard good things about the seiko 5

        • @alebox:

Mate that's 46mm, its going to be too big for you if you have tiny wrist.

        • yes… that's exactly the problem and why i'm asking for other recommendations lol

        • @HandsomeMonkey: I've changed the description to 44mm - surely it's got to be the same case size as the black version, and Citizen give the dimensions for that one.

          Still, 44mm isn't a small watch :)

        • @Thrift:

          Maybe without the crown?

    • Correct 38-41mm will be the best size for people with tiny wrist. An AT2150-51A is 44mm and it looks like this on my tiny wrist. http://ocau.com/pix/pmaoa

However I like big watches, so its OK :P

    |It's StarDeal time!|
Yes, It's time for those ugly Citizen Watches from Starbuy again!

    • +1

Use a > in front of quoted text and it will be formatted like:

      It's StarDeal time!

Unless you think that's too ugly and prefer this |abomination| ;)

    • +2

Compared to the 0 deals you have posted?

      • Ugly? I think some of these look really good. I'd buy one if I needed a watch, but I already have two and rarely wear either.

  • Rep, can u do something for casio edifice watches?

    • The rep, Star Jewels, has been online today, so maybe he will chime in, but Starbuy has an Edifice page with some specials.

    • Check the StarJewels website. They had a few Edifices on sales for a few weeks now.

    • +2

Citizen Eco Drives and Seiko Automatic watches are much better than Casio Edifice.

  • You guys seem to know your stuff about watches…quick question - how do you store your watches? Do you have a special watch box?

  • +1

    Ordered the black version. Thanks.

  • My Gf bought me a G shock which I wear at all times, which I never have to take off because its shock proof, water proof, and doesnt care if I bump it at the Gym.

Its also an old school Strap Band rather then stainless steal link band.

WHATS the deal with this watch, would I be able to wear it the same ( i even sleep with the thing) or would I regret it after 1 gym session?

(I am ware I can take it off when I gym but I ended up with my other 5 watches I have collected over the years all piled up at the bottom of my Gym bag)

    • After few years of wearing it, you can draw one on the shade mark and show her your new "G shock".

    • It Shouldn't be any problem as long as its comfortable. I wear mine all the time.

    • +3

last time my gf asked me if I wanted a G-shock I didnt end up with a watch……. baduum tiss

  • +2

Rep. any good deals on this model?

    http://www.citizenwatches.com.au/mens/citizen-mens-eco-drive…

    CA4210-16E

    Gorgeous watch.

  • Their watch range looks tiring, no new models have been added.

    • Yeah they probably don't have the time to keep it up to date.

  • Any other bargain click & collect deals? I still have $50 ebay voucher received from last click & collect promotion…

  • Just so you are aware unless you know how to DIY the metal band adjustment, you will need a jeweller to help you, without the right tools very easy to scratch the band.

Expect to pay $10-20 to get it done on top of the price. YMMV

  • While i generally like the look of these things, the reality is:

    • I'm not going to remember to readjust the date every month.
    • I sometimes forget what month it is.
    • I want a stop watch.
    • +2

Citizen Eco-Drive CA4036-03E not a digital stopwatch, but has chronograph which is basically an analog stopwatch that records up to 59min59 sec

      • I use the Chronograph/stopwatch on my eco drive all the time (like when something is in the oven).

  • Hi ref,

How can I see more pics or vedio of SRN055P-9. I can find nothting in google.

    http://www.starbuy.com.au/seiko-kinetic-srn055p

    Cheers.

    i bought the Citizen Eco-Drive CA4036-03E about 3 months ago for $214…rekt.

But its a very good watch, the RRP is around $400 (who pays RRP anyway), and it comes with Chronograph and Ecodrive.

Ecodrives are usually 150+ at starbuy, add chronograph you would normally pay $300+

    My watch for $139…rekt

I got an Eco-Drive watch from Starbuy about a year ago. Very happy with the speed of delivery and with the product.

So far the Eco-Drive is proving to be my second most favourite watch, after a $10 Casio that seemed unbreakable and lasted about 20 years, until I forgot it in a hotel room in Fiji a few years ago.

I really like the fact that you never have to change batteries, which means never having to open the watch.

  • Has anyone had their orders from this deal shipped yet? 1 week for me and still waiting.

    • It's only been 4 business days since the deal was posted, but if you haven't heard anything, PM the rep Star Jewels (or email [email protected] or phone 1800 201 141).

I ordered Friday, got the shipping notice late Tuesday, and it just arrived - the CA4034-50A looks great in the flesh.

      • Ordered on Friday as well, just got the tracking number now and awaiting it to be picked up, so 2 days after yours. They advertise that they ship 1-3 business days.

Pretty excited to see it. I'm just impatient as I'm in WA so it may take longer to get here, it could be well over a week before I see it :(

I did pay extra for express as well so hopefully not too far.

        • I know they advertise 1-3 business days (I just coped what was on the page), though when they post their own OzB deals they often state slightly longer timeframes as they are hit with a ton of orders all at once. Thankfully they pack everything securely rather than just throwing it in a satchel, so that must take a bit of time to prepare.

Luckily you've already had your Labour Day holiday (NSW's is on this coming Monday) so that won't affect your express post.

        • @Thrift:

As per the details they posted on this deal

Delivery: AusPost eParcel Standard (3-4 days) ~$7.95 - $8.50, or free pick-up available in Sydney CBD.

Ships in 1-3 business days from Sydney.

So they didn't state longer times that this time

I'm not trying to complain, was just curious if anyone else had the same delay. Hearing some of the orders got shipped two days ago for the same watch I ordered probably means it was a super popular deal!

        • +1

@pjmcshane: What I was saying is that when they post their own OzB deals they often make mention that the time to ship might be a little bit longer due to the amount of orders they get, even though the webpage might have their 'standard ship timeframe'.

Star Jewels mentioned in the Sep 22 COTD deal (regarding the black CA4036-03E):

… We did not stock this model as we did not think we would ever be able to move enough quantity.

If they posted this deal themselves, they probably would have given themselves a few extra days buffer, as they have to get the stock from Citizen Australia and then pack it up for the orders.

So it's more my fault. I'm not trying to make excuses for them, but the popularity could have been a surprise (particularly judging from the response to the COTD deal) - hopefully they got a bunch of orders out of the 4,600 clicks from this deal :)

    CA4034-50A and CA4036-50A back to $139 again.

    • I must say I quite like my CA4034-50A.

      • Why you have golden color?

        • Reflection from wooden panelling.
