I saw a deal similar to this with regards to the iPad Mini 2 a while ago now (ALSO with Optus) where you purchase the iPad and cancel after a month to get the price on the website. Was just looking around for iPads when I saw that the price jumped significantly since mid year.

Did some research, found the WiFi + Cellular version for $989 at the Apple Store,
Not much cheaper elsewhere

$947 at Officeworks for example
$987 at JB HiFi
$989 at Dick Smith (lol)

Even the WiFi versions are starting around the low $800s

Might not be something "oz-bargainy" but probably worth checking out for those wanting an iPad Air 2 (not wanting an iPad Pro)

NOTE: ABSOLUTELY NO SPACE GRAY STOCK AVAILABLE; ONLY SILVER OR GOLD

  From my experience with that iPad mini 2 deal -
  1. You can purchase these iPads outright from Optus stores, best way
  2. There's no guArantee Optus will honor the deal of you purchase online, they cancel the order without informing you
  3. If this price is really really good, then these iPads will be out of stock very soon, duh!!

  You can get a refurb 64GB wifi/cellular iPad Air 2 (only silver or gold) from Apple for $749 at the moment - much better buying IMO…

  The stunning Galaxy Tab S 10.5 4G …. using one OS right now … about $500 NEW if you look around … how do you like them, Apples .. 😂 .. !!

    Invoice? Is the sim blocked? Can she prove she owns it if someone decides to report it stolen? There's a reason people avoid gumtree :)
