    man, haven't been to Sizzler for years. May have to go again just to remember the old days and have that nice Parmesan toast.

      I think location is a big problem. The gold coast one should be in a tourist area - Surfers or Broadbeach - where it is (near Broadbeach, tourists wouldnt see. Maroochydore is the same, not in a great area.

    Sizzler shut up shop in Victoria many many years ago, I didn't know that there were still in business.

    They just haven't been able to reinvent their brand. We did go every couple of months until this happened at our local.

    I don't think it was the restraunts fault, because they always appeared well cleaned, but more a fault of how a smorgasbord works.

    They are losing brand recognition because the price point is wrong, I can get a beaut steak dinner at the leagues club for their salad bar price. At $19.95 that's just about right - throw in free drinks and make it every day and they could make a comeback.

      Fixing the price won't really do anything.

      Their food is dated. Most of it is cheap filler junk, even the extras you pay for are generally junk. Nearly all restaurants have improved the quality of their food to some degree, sizzler is exactly the same as it was a long time ago.

      I went there for the first time in a long time and the only food I could tolerate was the dessert.

    Love Sizzlers but their meals are quite expensive for what you get..

    Every time I ask for medium cooked steak, they made it fully done. They are mostly refocusing back in QLD now, after retreating from VIC and NSW. Coffee Club is the same story, finding difficulties expanding beyond QLD.
