We got the image from a site that provides royalty and copyright free images, it states that all images on their site are legally able to be used because they are royalty and copyright free images, if that is not the case we will certainly pull the image as the last thing we want to do is infringe on any ones copyright.
I'm not officially informed about the licencing of the 'MAD' brand so I can't tell you otherwise….. Wikipedia does imply that the alfred image has gone into public domain due to the outcome of certain law suits in America…. But I can't confirm for you if the 'MAD' logo itself is also applicable to the situation….

Yes I took a look at wiki and you are correct the alfred image has gone into public domain so no problem there, I have done some research on the MAD logo and it also appears that it is public domain so "What, me worry?"…. lol
