So what's the deal, I looked up flights to Tokyo with and without this code and same price?

    • +1

Did you even bother to read the terms?

Offer Conditions: *Offer is available on Virgin Australia marketed and operated flights in Business, Premium Economy, Flexi and Saver fares on the Domestic,
Trans Tasman, International Short Haul and International Long Haul network (Applicable International Long Haul flights include: AU-LAX: flight numbers VA1/VA2
      & VA7/VA8. AU-AUH: flight numbers VA29/VA30).

Well I did, I guess i'm just not all the clear on that. Which is why I asked… Generally what one does when they don't understand.

        • Hopefully you've worked this out by now, but for anyone who doesn't understand either, the key part is:

"Offer is available on Virgin Australia … operated flights"

You can't get a discount on flights to Tokyo because Virgin doesn't fly to Tokyo.

    • Depends what dates you chose too.

  • I sure could have used this a week ago booking flights back from Sydney on Monday.

    • Still wouldn't have helped unfortunately. "20 day advance purchase period"…

  • I'm blind, where do I enter the code?

    • +3

When you're choosing your origin/destination and dates, there's an option to put in a promo code.

  • +1

did a dummy booking and code didn't work. no 10% off anywhere, even at final page. I entered the code too

    • +2

Same, didn't work for me either.

    • what route and date did you try book?

      See terms and conditions.

      • VA7 new york

        • VA7 is Brisbane to LAX not New York

That said in the Ts and Cs it should work on this route.

        • @blighst: it 's same plane. goes to nyc with stop in lax. when i was booked the code was VA7.

        • @sal78:

It may have to do with the new York leg. Check the LA only flight.

        • @sal78:

Are you sure you're not thinking of the QF Flight that does BNE>LAX>JFK.

I've not heard of Virgin Austrlaia flying their B777 to JFK……

        • @grimace3:
+1. VA goes with delta IIRC

  • 20 days is better than some previous deals,

  • Not seeing any discountfor PER-BKK in November, which is suppose to fall in the deal travel period.

  • Does not work for me either when trying to fly to Morocco in December, has it worked for anyone else?

  • This works for me for Adelaide to New York in December. Thanks! Saves me a few hundred on flights

  • Does not work PER>ADL

Edit= That was a sale fare so makes sense

  • How does Virgin compare to Jetstar?

  • FYI - flights SYD/MEL to LA in jun16 for ~$10xx

  • Thanks OP, Just saved $16

  • For some reason it isn't applying the 10% to saver fares to LAX. The little 'promo' symbol comes up against the Flexi fares, but not against the Saver ones for some reason? This is only new, searching a few weeks ago the 'promo' symbol was visible against the Saver & Flexi fares.
