nice one…just grabbed a podium chill. definitely going to be a long hot summer so this should be a nice addition on rides

    • Yep is a great addition on rides whether it's commuting, recreational or racing! I take them everywhere, cold water is the best :)

      • +1

Do you have to reply to every post? >_<

        • +2

Nope but I like to get involved in the deals I post. I own this product so can offer advice to others. Sorry if I am clogging up your feed, I am obsessed with these water bottles and cycling haha

        • +3

          @ShamelessBargains:

          haha I like your enthuasiam

      • i bought the 600 chill and didnt realise there was a 750 as well….gah!
        now i want the 750 too :P

looking forward to it actually….using a stainless/alloy bottle and its just a little too loud in the cage on trails and cool water an hour or two into a ride would be sweet….the chill should be good when i dont want to take a hydration pack.

love getting sorted for summer riding and hydration is pretty crucial…cheers for posting the deal, much appreciated and ive taken the liberty of posting it in a few riding forums/thread and others are getting in on it too…kudos! ;)

      • … just bought a 750 as well before they all sell out…its too cheap & i'll need it as i am a cycling / bargain addict :P

  • Just added Indigo 0.6L for $12.85. Only 6 have sold so far so plenty of stock left for this colour :)

  • +1

Just bought two from the George St, Sydney, NSW store. Will be handy for the walks throughout summer.

  • ..

    • Have you looked up "Paid with" on your Paypal account?
It should describe what was actually paid and how.

      • +1

I deleted the comment and was hoping no one saw lol. Yeah I was using Paypal on my mobile in my defence and when you look at recent activity it just has -$18.36 but then when you click recent activity again at the bottom of that page it says +$12.85 credit card saying its taken that amount off my card lol. Thanks for your concern tho :)

Pushbutton thermos is 700ml and thinner at ikea, and it will keep cold/hot for a day at just over $10

Edit: Fits in a drink bottle holder for all the spandex wearing rubber burners out there

    • +1

Nice description of a road cyclist :(

      • +1

not really, there's no rubber 'burning' in road cycling. you're thinking of 'feral bogan flannelette wearing knob jockeys'.

        • +1

          spandex

But alright mate - how's life in the pro peloton?

        • @KeplersLaws: it's awesome. health and fitness, not beerguts and STDs.

  • would these be suitable for primary school kids to take to school?

    • probably half a size too big for a primary school kid, they are quite large. Probably OK for a kid closer to age 11 than a 5 year old

    • +1

Only if they want to be the "coolest" kids around!

I have a few of these bottles. My biggest gripe is cleaning the Nozzle after a few months. It gets really grotty. Anyone got any tips for me here?

By the way, I love these bottles. The black stuff just freaks me out though. Maybe Camelback could sell replacement nozzles?

    • +2

Check out this video… Pretty useful on how to clean the nozzle
      https://youtu.be/ZmEa9DNZK7c

      • Thank you! Bought 7.

      • Thanks, been wanting to know that for awhile too :)

    • Camelbak do sell replacement lids/caps for the bottles. I found them on Wiggle before the distribution rights changed (can't get them anymore) and not sure where else has them in Aust. Think it was around $7 for a lid, so you're probably better buying a new bottle at this discounted price.

You can also dismantle the rubber seal from the lid, bit or warm water helps soften the rubber and it pulls off. Then the inner valve (blue part) can be taken out and cleaned too, just don't lose the little o-ring seal.

      • Ah o-rings, from keeping entire space stations from succumbing to the vast vacuum of space, to holding together a nifty little camelbak.

  • Looks like no more C&C near me in VIC. Too late to the party

  • The Sydney stores are running out of choice of colours…

  • Great price for these. I would still like to suggest people to have a look at Hydroflask insulated bottles. May cost more but Amazon and ebay often have them <30. Takes all the abuse school kids throw at them, slim design to fit in backpacks side pockets and some bike bottle cages, and easily keep drinks really cold for atleast 15 hours (still cold after that)

    • +1

Yeah depends on your budget mainly. I'm sure there are better alternatives for keeping water cooler but the Camelbak is sufficient enough for me. Maybe if you do long distance rides, a bigger bottle or a more expensive option would be more suitable.

  • Top service by the Booragon Garden City DS.

    • Winter vs summer

      • 4 months and people still be asking since when did DS start selling drink bottles

  • +1

    Thx
    Bought 4 for the family.

  • +1

I picked up mine today. It's nice, I going to order another one :D

    • How did you pick up so quick - wasn't it click & collect? You get the dick smith ready-to-collect email, but don't you have to also receive the eBay email too?

      • +1

Went to local DS this morning with 3 x printouts of just the Ready to Collect emails from DS and got the items. Didn't event request to see ID.

        • Did your ready to collect email say to bring the eBay ready to collect email? Apparently the Ebay one is the one with all the crucial numbers and IDs and stuff they have to see.

        • @KeplersLaws:

Got an email notification that it is ready for pick up so I went in and just show them the email. Saw a few camelbak bottles already behind the counter, obviously some were orders from ozbargainers

        • @KeplersLaws:
Yep, the DS emails said to bring the Ebay ready to collect emails and 2 x forms of ID but neither were requested. Items were collected by mere presentation of the DS emails.

Perhaps it's at the discretion of individual store staff on how strict they wanna be about pickups; eg size of shop and number of C&C orders received.

        • Yeah you're right. I'm guessing it's also more serious for the more pricey things like electronics, but for small sundries, they'd probably ease up a bit. Thanks for the info.

    Why so many votes?
600 ml bottle for 12.85. I thought this web is about a bargain
There is 750 ml stainless steel one which cost $2.00 OW even though I might not suggest for Hot Weather

  • race edition now out of stock

    • Thanks, updated listing

    • +1

damn, and they make you go faster too.

  • bought a crimson last time around ($11.57 i believe). have ordered a race edition and a slate (had to order from different stores to find stock).

tempted by indigo to have the whole set! :)

    • Yeah I have two crimson from the last deal. Slate looks pretty awesome and indigo looks cool too. Thinking I should buy two of each for the set haha

    • bought a crimson last time around ($11.57 i believe).

      yes true :)

  • +2

Ok took the camelbak for a test on the MTB trail. It was about 33 degrees and the water didn't stay cold for too long (less than 2hr) =/

  • stores out of stock during paypal stage.. trying crimson and blue in Vic

  • Just got a refund from dicky. No explanation. Nice.

    • Did you click and collect or select delivery?

      • Click and collect. Burwood NSW. Shows there's stock last i checked.

  • Along with a Podium chill I also bought regular 750ml Eddy bottle with the flip up bite valve.

That valve though is tighter than a sharks arse as there's no slit in the top. Is that just a faulty valve or are we expected to stab a knife through it first? That's no major drama but the instructions do seem to suggest it's ready to just bite and suck.

UPDATE: found out from official site FAQ this 'sticking' may occur and to just squeeze and roll the top between the fingers to try and force open the slit.
