Where do I get this $210 voucher??

      • Do you have to sign up to any particular deals to get the vouchers?

    • no stock at most stores… closest sydney store is in newcastle - 80kms away.

hardly any stock on this deal.. lame offer from JB to run it for so many days and only have a handful of phones in stock..

      • I guess you are late to the party. There was stock at most of the stores till yesterday.

        • yes, seems like from the comments a reasonable amount of ppl got the deal… damn missed out!

if anyone in sydney picked up a extra one for the $688- trade in value.. i would be interested to purchase. an extra $50- on top?

        • @mefresh: ebay seems to offer a better deal than your +50….

  • Yep, how?

  • +2

I have a 20 years old Nokia in working condition.

    • -1

I have a nokia 1100 from the dinosaur era :D

      • how old are u?

  • Was about to post mate. You beat me to it :P I've the black version of this phone already (when it used to be $1299)and it's an incredible price for this superb phone. Maybe I'll get another to gift my bro :D

  • +3

I got an email from them 40 minutes ago

    Hi Tampon

Check out this massive BONUS for Instant Deals Members. Until Wednesday get yourself $210 Off the ticket price of a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge 64GB (White Only) simply by presenting this Exclusive Coupon at any JB Hi-Fi Store in Australia. While stocks last. Offer ends Wednesday 7th October 2015……

    • +25

      That user name tho…

    • +16

Lost it at "Hi Tampon" !!

    • +1

Was expecting them to offer you an exclusive red colour after I read that name.

  • -6
    • That's simply not true. Does not say anywhere 32GB only

    • The fact that it was previously only available for those phone doesn't disprove this deal.
They specifically mention receiving an additional $200 off from the trade-in in the email, immediately following the voucher and phone description.

      • Op did not specify where this $200 trade in was coming from so I wrongly assumed it was from their recent Samsung promotion.

  • +13

The trade in conditions also states "Trade-in offer is available-in store only. Only specified makes and models accepted for trade-in (to check whether your device is accepted for trade-in, please contact your nearest store). Value of your trade-in is determined by the make, model and condition of your device and is only valid until COB on the same day as quoted. "

A weird part of the conditions also states "and if the trade-in value of the goods traded-in by you (as assessed by JB Hi-Fi) is $200 or more, then you must produce proof of purchase for the goods". So you need to have a receipt for your trade in phone. Usually a bit hard for a 2yr old phone or if it came with a plan and you don't have a receipt….

    • +8

Going by previous experience, Trade-ins will start at $5 and if you have a iPhone6 or above, you might get the $200!

I think title should be Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge (White) 64GB $888 (bonus trade-in)

      • +3

Yeah they are going to be very stringent on trade ins. Unless you have an iPhone 6, HTC One m9 or S6 or Note 5, the trade-in credit will be pretty low and selling it on eBay is the better alternative.

      • -6

Yea, this deal is not useful, as its definitely not 688$, when you have to trade-in a good phone instead. It should be 888$ definitely!

        • -6

You don't get it, do you. Any phone is at least $200 off

        • +1

          @dosada:
          No, specific models

        • +6

@dosada: That's clearly not true by reading the the trade in conditions above.

        • +2

@dosada: If you would read the comments you would see that only valuable phones (like iphone, htc m9 etc.) get 200$ tradein. You cant go there with your 10$ phone and think you will get a 200$ voucher. But okay, it seem possible like some comments suggest.

I cite: "Value of your trade-in is determined by the make, model and condition of your device"
Very strange that you get 200$ voucher for 10$ phone.

Dont understand why my comment gets minus…

        • @JackJohn:

Read the comments. People traded 14.50 phones from woolies and got $200 off.

        • @brownhux:

Read comments. Enough user here confirm it's true

        • +1

          @dosada:

Why do I have so many negs? I think this is a great deal and confirmed by many that it works

    • This condition takes away the original perceived value of the deal. Deceptive behavior from JB and no longer a decent deal.

    • The proof of purchase condition appears to only apply to Western Australia… here is the exact wording of that condition:

"In W.A, all goods traded-in must have been purchased by you as new goods (i.e. you cannot trade-in goods that were originally purchased by you as second-hand goods), and if the trade-in value of the goods traded-in by you (as assessed by JB Hi-Fi) is $200 or more, then you must produce proof of purchase for the goods."

    • -1

Can confirm it works. Traded in a 3yrs old phone that cost me $20 then and got $200 off. Great deal!

  • Can we use the $9 Telstra Cruise phone to get $200 off??

    • +2

      See above, no.

    • Edit: Misread your comment, I was wrong!

  • So has the OP actually purchased this? Or it's totally theoretical?
And how do we get the targeted email?

    • +1

Nope deal has not started yet. Deal will only be honoured at $888 as you can't use any other offer in conjunction and the trade in $200 never applied to this model. You get this targeted email through signing up to JB HiFi deals.

      • Nope deal has not started yet. Deal will only be honoured at $888

Why do you say that the deal hasn't started yet?
The email doesn't mention a start date just that the "Offer ends Wednesday 7th October 2015"

Plenty of people, including myself, have had the deal honoured at $688 today :-)

        • +1

Sorry this was before I was corrected above. Deal is now live, how are you liking your new phone?

        • +1

          @ShamelessBargains:

          All good :-)
(and sorry if I didn't look at the times and all the conversations above/below - there are too many)

Thanks. I haven't had a chance to like it yet, but I'm happy with the deal :-) :-) :-)

      3 Flaws

Flaw 1: Coupon cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer

Flaw 2: Get $200 off any off any of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge 32gb, Note 5 32gb and s6 Edge Plus 32gb variants when you trade a phone in which is in working condition. (not 64 GB)

Flaw 3: Value of your trade-in is determined by the make, model and condition of your device (not going to get $200 off unless your second hand phone is worth $200 at least).

All together lets sing "SamAsung SamAsung"
(typo in title :- Samasung Galaxy S6 Edge 64GB $688)

  • This price is so dope.
I would gladly trade in my Asus Zenfone 2 for this even though I bought it for $360 a couple of months ago. The only problem is it's a grey import from qd_au eBay.

    • I was thinking about getting this phone for a long time from qd_au and then the 15% off ebay deal came along last week and bought a Lg G4 from them instead. How was the Zenfone 2? Good phone?

      • +1

I'm happy with it. Camera is a slight let down. It was the best budget smartphone.

If you like customisable phones, then the Asus Zenfone 2 is probably one of the best in that department. It uses the Asus' own ZenUI, a lot of its users are enthusiasts so there is a lot of support, special apps, themes and tweaks available.

I made the mistake of getting the 2GB Ram version. There is a 4GB RAM variant and I believe it was the first phone to have 4GB of Ram. The Intel Atom processor it uses is a 64 bit processor, but the OS is the standard 32 bit Android OS.

You made the better choice in getting the LG G4. I was in a rush and bought it in March of this year, so the price was a bit high.

    • +1

clean swap you for a ZTE F286 :p

  • +1

    knowing them they'd want a s4 or s5 for a trade.

  • anyone wants a coupon. PM me- I already have a decent mobile.

    First in best dressed.

    Edit: IT's GONE!

  • -1

You can't even get it for this price. Delete this.

  • +2

If anyone wants this voucher please PM me

    • Are your PM's on?
      I'd love a voucher

      • Not sure, I thought it is automatically on.

  • +1

I won't use mine. PM me your email and I can forward the voucher.

    EDIT: Sorry . Gone! 15:45

  • No deal prob have to trade in an s6 for them to even give you 200$ trade in. Better off selling your phone on ebay using that money and buy else where.

  • +3

So, description is a bit misleading, as is price. I read it as ANY phone would get $200 trade in, however that appears not to be the case, JB determine the value.

    • +1

I have one Nokia Lumia 530 un-open in its box. I guess if I tried to trade it in I might get $10-$15… hehehe

  • +5

JB HiFi (Warrawong, NSW) claimed that if the trade value is less than $200, then $200 comes off this deal. If your phone is worth more as trade value, that amount will be deducted. Minimum trade-in value is $200, so sounds like a $10 will do the trick as OP states.

e.g. $50 Value = $200 off, $300 Value = $300 off. He was reading from T&C on their computer system.

    • That's how I read the email as well. Those other terms are their standard trade in ones, this email doesn't state up to.

  • can someone PM me if they have a voucher?!

    • sign up to the newsletter

      • i did and all i got was the uniden promotion??

        • Well if anyone got one PM me please.

  • I have a $210 off voucher. PM me if you'd like it.
    Claimed.

  • +4

I have contacted my local store and was told that any phone takes 200 off for this deal if not worth more than that. If valued higher it can take even more off

    • +1

Same as I wrote above ^^

    • Same here too - I traded a really old phone with a black and white LCD and still got the extra $200 off :-)

  • I signed up as well, and just got the Uniden deal
