Comsol 8800mAh Travel Series Power Bank $30 @ Officeworks

130

Just posting this to see if anyone else is interest in a potential bargain on a 8800mAh power bank.
Went into my local Officeworks (Hobart, TAS) and these were either incorrectly labelled or heavily reduced. Either way I bought two for $60 instead o $130. So if you're looking out for one it might be worth a try, thanks..

See my receipt

Mod: Updated link to Officeworks site, black is available for $30 on clearance (not silver which OP obtained).

  • OP was it http://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/comsol-8800… ?

If so seems Black is cheap, Silver is not for the same device. Seems they are selling off old Comsol Power Packs, personally got a 2200mAh for $1 because they only had 1 colour left.

EDIT: Seems the Officeworks the OP has gone to has wrongly reduced the Silver colour to $30 where it should be the Black only for $30

    • Did the same for me, plenty left on shelf, happy that it is dual port and 2.1A and 1A. Cheers OP

For about that price you can get a Xiaomi 10,000 from Mushtato http://www.mushtato.com.au/

I have a Xiaomi 16000 and love it.

CONCURRED! Xiaomi definitely the best one out there! Tried one and never looked back. The good thing about Xiaomi it can also do pass-through charging. So convenient during travel

      • Hopefully XiaoMi gets onto QC2.0 then I would buy another one… Awesome when you can charge so bloody quick so you don't have to hold onto the powerbank as long.

    • dual charger 1A and 2.1A ??

Got a few powerbanks, wished they would start mainstreaming QC2.0 powerbanks.

  • Yeah I figured there would be a cheaper one somewhere online but I'm leaving the country on Tuesday so it's not really an option unfortunately.

  • I tried to get a Comsol 6600mAh power bank a couple of days ago ($20) at Dee Why Officeworks. Supposedly there's 5 in stock, but the sales assistant couldn't find them. He spent forever looking for them, before I could finally get out of there (empty handed).

It wasn't on the shelf at my store. Found them at the front counter suprisingly, when I went to pay for something.

      • It wasn't on the shelf, it wasn't out the back, & after using the biggest ladder ever (more like a staircase), it wasn't in the multitude of boxes on the walls. Probably was at the front counter, about the only place we didn't check :P

That's ok, I got an Anker PowerCore 15600 mAh instead (which gets great reviews), for around 30 bucks (as I'll be in the UK soon).

        • did you get the anker powercore for ow??? and you paid $30???

        • @Ashbiel:

No, amazon.co.uk, as I'll be in the UK in a few weeks. Yeah, they're crazy expensive here :/

  • anyone used this model before ?

    • very likely…

      • just wondering if this is a reliable power bank as I am traveling soon and need one

        • You can try it before you go… Easy to return stuff at OW if it doesn't meet your expectations…
