Thanks for posting, pretty good deal albeit not as good as the buy one get one free last year.
With the said, I personally think Wagamama is as Japanese as Kevin Rudd is Chinese.

  • Yum yum, love Wagamamas!

  • Their food is a rip off IMO. But this will be useful for the next time I get dragged there :)

my friends love going there so these offers/vouchers are really handy. they are cheap and is good place to sit & chat with your friends over a cheap meal, place is at least clean & spacious.. better than going to noisy food court or fast food joint! but the food is really awful, total crap. service is non existent, waited for ages for meal, every time i go there. dont go there if you're in a hurry or starving or expect real authentic japanese cuisine. do go there if your friends love it, and you want a licenced place with cheap food.

    • i dont get it.

Cheap awful food.. its nearly 20 bucks… that's not cheap!

    • I don't see how its cheap.

They sell chicken curry for $20 on a plate.

I can walk 20 metres and more chicken curry that tastes better for $8 in a bowl.

Everything they sell is a rip off.

Crap food and so overpriced, even the buy 1 free 1 was not enough to tempt me!

  • The food's decent, but overpriced and nothing approaching authentic.

I think the most authentic thing I've had there was a vietnamese curry.

That said, the atmosphere is decent and the one closest to me is in a very nice spot.

So I'll be using the voucher :P

You must not be Vietnamese if you think the Vietnamese curry is authentic Vietnamese.

I think you missed a few words in that sentence. See if you can derive the meaning using all the words of the sentence, and maybe throw in a bit of the context of the previous sentence.

  • You can get vietnamese curry in like canley vale and that's a pretty viet suburb. also, i love makoto!!

Unfortunately I've had the displeasure of eating at this joint twice. Both times it was the worst food I've ever eaten. SO much so that I complained the 2nd time and got my meal for free. Worst eatery ever. The Japanese consulate should step in a force them to stop telling people they are a Japanese restaurant, is a disgrace.

  • Agree, Wagamama is crap. you pay restaurant prices for a shopping centre Food Court experience - crap food and you have to sit at benches with random people…

  • crap overpriced food… disgraceful !

  • over priced food, ate twice at the airport just because i am starving and there are no other food places with empty seats. I wonder how they can survive… $10 off if you spend $30 is like a slap in the face… because $20 can get you decent nandos for 2 persons.

  • Yeah, overpriced. Ate there recently and wish I had this voucher to salvage something from a rip-off. You can see their scores, for this one example, are mediocre:

  • The food connoisseurs have spoken! Looks like I'll be staying put at Don Don's :P

  • Agreed totally with most of the comments here. Really below average food and WAY overpriced. Went there once and was totally surprised how much they charged for what it seemed like a casual environment. Surprisingly, there were lots of people (in Chadstone) there. Would have -ve this but my account is recent (< 30 days).

  • I used a 2 for 1 voucher and still felt ripped off.
