  • oh I want one of these, do you think it's a good deal? Sounds a bit expensive for a fancy mouse pad

Well factor out the mousepad, would you pay for a 3port usb hub and card reader for $15? Then factor in the cool led styling and mousepad and ability to plug stuff into the mousepad! you got a bargain :D

    • haha I'm sold. (Is your profession in sales btw? ;))

  • I got one of these about 3 years ago from Aldi, slightly different design, same price.

It has some super bright LEDs that pretty much blind you, but if you're into showing off it's not bad. The actual mouse pad was very nice, but I stopped using it because it took too much space on the desktop and was a bit cumbersome. Also found I never used the USB ports anyway and it takes up even more room if you plug in a USB flash drive or something.

    • yeah i got this too a few years ago.. i don't even use it as a mouse pad because it's so small! and the cord on my mouse at the time would hit the top part of the pad where the hub is.. you can see in the pic that there isn't much space to do vertical movement specially if you have a corded mouse and a low sensitivity user.. also the usb ports are 1.1 not 2.0 but this new version is 2.0 it seems.. i still don't recommended though

they put in all that crap but they leave out a wrist rest

    good work

  • Would you know if the SD/MMC card reader take SDHC. I don't think so.

  • Does anyone know if the USB hub requires any external power source?

If not, would it be enough to power my USB 2.5" HDD?

    • My one did not have an external power source and it definitely wouldn't power a USB 2.5" drive.

      • my one has a plug for it but it didn't come with an adapter

  • here's the same mat + hub on cotd.. 7.95 + 5.95 shipping.. u save $1.09 lol

edit: oh but there's no card reader

    • This is the one I have with the frustratingly bright LEDs.

  • Does not look good to me, I am using wireless mouse to get rid ofcables.
    I prefer normal mousepad
