  • Very nice post Spackbace. Thank you :)

Bluetooth headphones $10- worth a shot?

    • +2

Nah. Poor sound quality for music and low volume. I'm taking mine back tomorrow.

      • just out of curiosity what was the original RRP price anyways? but yeah, YGWYPF - You Get What You Paid For! LOL you wouldn't expect awesome sound quality for $10 earphones would you? however, if you're after budget quality, I heard Wicked Audio is awesome for that price…

        • $30, and those are not bluetooth or in-ear, don't really fit under a bike helmet.

      • Thanks, was thinking of a cheap pair for the gym. Open ear or closed?

  • Is this in-store on online only? Can't add the USB to Cart.

    • I was just able to :/

  • can't tell from the image or info if the MicroUSB & Lighting 240v charger actually includes the cable that plugs into an iPhone 5/6. Does anyone know?

    • +2

It does, it says 1m, and you can see 2 plugs, so would be MicroUSB and Lightning

    • Plug pack has
      2 USB outlets (2.4A + 1A) for simultaneous charging
Australian & folding 2 pin US mains plugs (Australian plug slides off). Weighs 72g + 14g Australian adapter. Good for travel - will throw this in for Japan trip!

      1 1m USB to micro-USB cable, a micro-USB to Lightning adapter, a micro-USB to 30 pin adapter.

  • top 4 of the 6 unavailable now
    Last two currently showing available

    • +1

All still good at my end. Might be your local store or state, or you're not logged in?

      • oh.. right.. lets see

  • +1

Just as I was checking out… all unavailable… sad face

    • Just select another store.

  • does everyone else get the minimum $30 spend for click and collect? first time using it and no mention of it on their info page… just wanted a couple pairs of headphones.

    • +2

Yep. It's always been the case.

  • Plenty of stock at Woolworths Town Hall the other day.

  • Can anyone confirm if these prices are available in store on the spot? Or is it an online only offer?

    • +1

Should be the same in store - I can confirm the tower fan and the flash drive were both available at these prices at Warwick (WA) Woolies this morning (not sure if the other items were in stock at that particular store).

  • +2

Thanks. Just checked out with 2x bluetooth sports earbuds ($20), 5x noise isolation earbuds ($5), 1x 2.4ghz wireless mouse that looks like the MX Performance ($6) and 3x USB powered tower fans ($15).

Took a few goes to select a store that had all of them in stock.

Should make some decent cheap gifts, and I'd be keeping a pair of the bluetooth earbuds + tower fan for myself.

  • Wanted an OTG cable and a set of speakers but already have some on order. Did pick up the last 2 of 4 desk fans for $2 each from Garden City/Upper Mt Gravatt/QLD today!

One for me and one for someone else in the house.

    • $1 USB speakers (1 pink left) & few $2 OTG cable at Mt View Woolies (cnr Logan & Creek Rd Mt Gravatt) 30 minutes ago. Plenty of $5 fans. (2 types of USB fans) But got last $5 wall charger.

      • All good, I can wait the weekend. I live far far away from that Woolies. Thanks though.

        • 2km from where you shopped.

        • @Infidel:

But I didn't want to have to wait for a Logan Road bus, walk down, go in, hope they had something there, walk out, walk back to Logan Road, wait smelling fumes, get back on the bus, pay the extra zone fare etc…

I'm happy to wait a few more days for my speakers and cable from China. Less expense for me.

        • @kronicmacstigator:
          Life is so tough :-(
Was just giving you the data, its up to you what you do with it. It's a Woolies in a tiny little known centre, that was recently renovated.
2km is not much further when measured in those 'far's ;-)

  • I picked up the the 16gb usb 3 stick from Woolworths in store $8.
Note: it didn't have the reduced price label, I had it scanned at checkout.

  • If you're looking for the jawbone, remember amart sports BEAT the price by 10%, worth a look. they sell for $69

  • +1

The $10 reduced to $1 USB 'powered' speakers are abysmal. Plugged into USB to provide power - volume knob lights up. That was as good as if got :-( Plugged 3.5mm audio cable into Android phone playing music & volume drops dramatically compared with phone. Barely can hear anything from speakers at full volume. Really crap.

    • That's also why I didn't want to waste my time…

I've just bought one of THE most popular speaker systems out of China for a few dollars.

      • +1

That's why I posted it - so others don't waste their time.

I'll pop mine back to Woolies next time I shop. Hopefully adverse feedback might stop them stocking crap like this.

    • Opened up the speakers…
Basic 4ohm 3W speakers (unlikely to produce acceptable sound) powered by Class AB Audio Power Amplifier HXJ2038 3W stereo chip, which should perform better than this. Only other components are the switched stereo volume control pot, power supply filter capacitor (1000uF 10V), 7 SDM resistors, 5 SMD capacitors & 2 blue LEDs.

The chip may be underpowered, but
combines dual bridge speaker amplifiers and stereo headphone amplifiers on one chip.
The 2038 features an externally controlled, low power consumption shutdown mode, a stereo headphone amplifier mode, and thermal shutdown protection.

Parts are worth the $1 & chip / circuit could make cheap headphone amp :-) Might buy another to test.

    USB fan - quite noisy
    USB 3.0 16GB - slow. read 43MB/s write 27MB/s
$15 BT stereo speaker is good. Paired with an iPad

  • Saw this at their NSW Cardiff store today and took photos. I'd upload the pics with prices and availability if I could. Loads of S4 covers, 7-8 inch tablet covers.

  • Picked up an iphone 5/5s sports armband for $2

    16gb usb 3 stick

If you can wait a few days, its better to get the PC byte 32gb on ebay for $15.95 (even cheaper if you have cashrewards)
You save 5 cents, it's a better brand and faster.
The only complaint I have is that it is really small.

  • No longer available: Noise Isolating Earphones with volume control - $1

  • +1

Picked up a $1 Dual Tip Stylus Pen (down from $7). Happy enough to have a pen with me now that I can use as a stylus when needed :)

    Seems pretty good too

  • 1.8m HDMI cable is $3.00, good price.
