    i think 1Gb ddr3 dimms are the 512mb dimms of the ddr2 world

    ie. fairly worthless

    people want more than 2Gb in their laptops i guess

    I can't imagine who would use this ram. People with Netbooks will only have 1 RAM slot, so will want to put a 2gb stick in it.
    And people with older laptops wont support DDR3. And people with DDR3 supported laptops will probably already have at least 2gb inside already, cause DDR3 laptops are fairly new.

    • You not having purpose for this memory != nobody having any purpose for this memory.
