    That's expensive for juice…

Yeah, but still cheaper than the artificial crap that passes for juice in most shops.

      • I get my OJ from Leo's supermarket. They squeeze it fresh in store…
        $5.99 for 2 litres.

The CSIRO recently found that pre-loading with pear juice before imbibing alcohol has a statistically significant preventative effect on hangover symptoms - http://csironewsblog.com/2015/07/31/pre-pair-yourself-have-w…

  • The Nashi in the picture looks weird and not like the types I'm use to from the markets (its more yellow and more crisper in looks and texture). Wonder how many % of it is actual juice from the "Sparkling Nashi juice"?

    • They don't mention anything other than juice under Ingredients. Though I suspect like most supermarket shelf juices, they might cook the juice down to a concentrate then dilute it with water for the final product.

      • Not sure about "cooking" it.. that pretty much releases all of the vitamins, flavours and good stuff away from the juice (and breaks down).. so its probably not as nutritional thereafter.

That's how most of the juices in the supermarket are made, unless they state "not made from concentrates". The freshly squeezed ones are more expensive and have a shorter shelf life. Don't know if that's the case with this nashi juice, but I'm just assuming if it wasn't made from concentrate they would advertise the fact.

        • @simulacrum:

          not afaik iirc

is alcoholic juice made from concentrate? :)

  • Thanks OP, just ordered some! They sound nice :)
