  • Could be enough to finally get me to splurge on a first cruise.

    Anyone know if ozcruising is competitive?

      Very competitive

      • +3

        Yeah. They are good. And good service as well - we needed to change our dining options when 2 other couples decided to come on our cruise: they had Royal Caribbean get us a table for 6. Royal Caribbean stuffed up our paper work and Ozcruising sorted it.

        They're Australian owned in Canberra

    • Thanks for the tips.
      Biggest disadvantage I can see after a quick look is that they don't seem to have the cheaper cruise lines (p&o / carnival) on their deals. So far a bit unaffordable even with the discount :(

        I wouldn't go anywhere near P&O when significantly better lines are only marginally more expensive.

        • I'm struggling to find anything that isn't $1000 more (quad share) than a p&o of the same duration.

          @Hoju:

          Okay on the better lines you will find that person 3 and 4 and charged almost as much as person 1 and 2.

          So…

          • If you have a family of four wait for a kids sail free sale, this is where you save $$

          • If you're sharing with another couple (please no) just get two separate staterooms. As per the above you will find it doesn't cost much more than four in a stateroom.

        • @LoopyLou:

          Thanks for the tip! If there are kids sail free sales then that's something to keep an eye out for. Feels silly paying full price for a four year old

      Anyone know if Ozcruising allows split payments? Most of the cruises are over $1000 mark so wondering if you can split the payment across multiple Amex cards online to increase the cash back?

    Highly recommend Naked Wines if you want to try some great wines, and their business model is pretty cool. Make sure you use the referral system if you are joining to get $50 credit. I recommend finding a mixed case of their popular wines and if you like that, become an Angel for regular great deals.
