$7 Blu-Ray/DVD Movie Titles @ Sanity

70

Bunch of different Blu-ray (and DVD) movie titles to be had from your local Sanity store for $7 each. My nearest stores (Nambour and Noosa) have them so I assume other stores do.

Has been going for a couple of weeks, not sure when it ends. I picked up Apollo 13, other titles include a lot of the older 007 and Mad Max films, Italian Job, The Fugitive.

What is a Sanity? Is that anything like a HMV? or perhaps a dodo?

    • It's a thing you have if there isn't a JB Hifi.

      • Have you ever been in sanity?

  • I was at Sanity today and I only saw 4 for $50 DVD's, is this deal national?

Reminds me of a time when I went to the movies by myself as a kid. The popcorn + drink combo was $10.50, but individually it was $6 for a popcorn and $3.50 for a drink.

Me: Can I have a large popcorn and a large drink (not the combo)
    Cashier: $10.50 thanks.
Me: pointing at the menu it says <prices> and the total is $9.50.
Cashier: But the combo is $10.50.
Me: Okay, I'll just take a large popcorn.
I walk around to the back of the line and wait one customer
Me: I'll take a large drink please.
    Cashier: …

    • At least they had a price list… All they show these days are the combo prices… Always fun to get them to list out all the individual prices.

      smart cookie.

I did this the other day with pre-owned games at EB.

They were all marked down used games, but the deal was 'Buy one, get second game half price'.

I wanted 4 games in total, but I knew they would probably make me pay full price for the two most expensive games, and the half price games would be the less expensive games.
Soo I went up and made a purchase to get half price on one of the more expensive games, and made out like I had forgot to buy the second two games, so I made a second transaction for the less expensive games.

All up saving like $7… for an extra 2 minutes of time. Worth it

      • If they aren't bastards (or you go there regularly) they'll be nice enough to do that in one transaction. I get treated really well at one actually, they put holds on newly announced Amiibo's for me too!
