Having visited QLD for holidays before these "unlimited" passes came into effect, I think these just plain suck; I much prefer the Park Pass where you'd get ONE entry to both parks. Yes they work out much more expensive, but at least you didn't have to wait an hour for a water slide or a ride. I went in school holidays with kids and it wasn't ever packed like sardines in a can and the lines moved quickly.
Come back the year these passes were introduced and it was the last time. I'd rather pay more and have an enjoyable experience than get something bulk cheap and have it ruined by massive queues.
I tend to agree, I'd rather theme parks be a luxury that someone can only afford to do once a year as opposed to go every second day. Its ruining it for the none locals filling the parks so that it takes an hour to go on one ride. This is the sole reason why I havent been to Wet and Wild Sydney, because its just up the road for so many kids with season passes, they are there every day, clogging up the lines. They could at least make season passes and these deals exclude weekends or a tuesday or something
They should do passes like in the USA, cheap passes that cover school term times but if you want to go in the holidays the pass will cost more. From memory over there they have 3-4 different levels of blackout dates on their passes depending how much you pay.
We are local and never go in the holidays because it's generally awful compared with term time.
Awesome will be there next weekend. Saves $15 on the single ticket price

When you say redeem, do you mean just download the scoopon ticket? Because mine definitely worked, as I have already downloaded and printed it, but cant verify if it valid as I have not gone to Dreamworld yet.
