  • Can this be used to buy tickets through telstra thanks?

    • I think it is just a standard gift card, says it can be used online. I have previously used gift cards to pay for Telstra thanks tickets

    • +3

      Yes it can

  • +5

I am buying a whopping $700 worth this time!!!

    • I have done that once, just set a reminder to check if you actually have used half of them half way through the year (so that there is still time time to sell / gift them).

      • +1

        I bought 18 in the end :)

Did it with express post - can't risk no tracking for that many.

  • I received an email.

  • This offer last year was 25% discount. This year its a 20% discount. I'm hold off as I don't need any currently but thanks to the OP for posting.

    • +1

Since I use Telstra tix and go all the time 20% off is better than 0% off

  • +1

Hopefully hoyts match it or come up with own sale.

  • thanks op.. got 5… as above .. works with telstra and cinebuzz rewards.

  • Combine this with the $8.50 one month tickets which they have every year makes tickets really cheap.

    • What $8.50 one month tickets are you talking about? Where can I get these tickets?

    • +1

Student deal at local event is $6.50. With 20% makes it $5.20 which is a bargain!

      • That's awesome, which Event is this? =D

        • +1

          Any Event in Brisbane!

Just need Uni ID / TAFE ID card :)

        • +1

@ShamelessBargains: Haha thanks for the reply!! Dammit in Sydney ='( Best I get are just "$8 Mondays" which are really $9.20 after their booking fee =P

I guess "$9.20 Mondays" doesn't have the same ring to it

        • @clem: Yeah that sucks. $6.50 is so cheap and it's that price everyday too…

$9.20 isn't too bad but it should be similar pricing as QLD :(

        • @ShamelessBargains: #justSydneyThings

  • what happens if there's like $5 left on the card? Can you use up the remaining amount and pay the rest with another card?

    • If your purchase is more than the current credit amount available on your gift card, you can make up the full amount with another type of tender accepted in our cinemas.

    • I can confirm what the website claims.

  • Damn, if only could be used for Village in VIC. Feel so left out :(

20% OFF instead of the usual 25% off
but with the $11 telstra tickets this still makes it effectively $8.8 instead of $7.5 a ticket last year (when they didnt include the online booking fee)

$8.8 gets me out of my room away from piratebay

  • Thanks OP!

  • Thanks OP.

  • I take it they post a physical card and not email a virtual one?

  • thanks! ordered 2 cards

  • Am I missing something? Appears to be $9 for postage?

    Are people getting free postage?

    • Nevermind comes up as $0 now.

The telstra tickets are now $12.50… well TBH $16.50 as I always go VMAX. That's over 5 movie tickets reduction than what I intended originally. It's been a huge increase in price in just a few years - this offer going from 25% off to 20%, the telstra ticket going from $10 to $11 but also that Telstra tickets give less cinebuzz points. They also removed the VIP Bonus points.

  • I bought like $500 last time, still have about $150 left . . might buy about half that amount this time

  • Ordered two in the end, don't want to be rushing to sell last years ones again this time
