For those who haven't heard of Sipahh straws before they a straw for drinking milk that contains flavouring that mixes with the milk as you drink it. The flavours are really good and they only contain 1.5g of sugar which is far less than regular flavoured milks.

I'm not really sure why you are mentioning how healthy these are, they contain E955, sucralose. Not only that but each straw is 3.5g, and of that its 1.8g of sugar. Thats a lot.

You can get plenty of sugar free nesquik style powders which are much cheaper if sucralose doesn't bother you.

These are a waste of money and I wouldn't give these to kids.

I never said they were healthy, just pointed out that they have a lot less sugar than regular flavoured milk. Some people may want more sugar in their diet, some may want less.

"I'm not really sure why you are mentioning how healthy these are, they contain E955, sucralose"

      then

"You can get plenty of sugar free nesquik style powders which are much cheaper if sucralose doesn't bother you"

First you hate on sucralose then you suggest it?

      • Its quite striaght forward.

If you want sugar pick a milk product with sugar.

If you like sucralose then pick a sugar free milk product.

Why you would pick one of these full of sugar and sucralose and then make it seem like its health seems quite pointless.

        • The idea behind this product has gone right over your head. This is meant to be an reduced-sugar alternative to flavoured milks like regular Nesquik or Milo (that contain large amounts of sugar) without sacrificing taste or flavour, which would probably happen if it contained sucralose only.

        • @Forenti:

Have you actually had a Sipahh? They are nothing like milo, and a little like nesquik but without a lot of flavour and consistency.

Again either choosing sugar free or regular nesquik would be the logical decision.

        • @samfisher5986:

Plenty of flavour for me - as a relatively low sugar treat they get my thumbs up.

        • @hoxygt:

I am not claiming they don't have plenty of flavour, I'm saying they are nothing like milo, and its definitely not the same as nesquik.

Of course it has plenty of flavour… thats what happens when you add sugar and E955 together. You could add E950 if you want even more.

          @samfisher5986:

You said "without a lot of flavour and consistency."

Sugar and E955 provide sweetness, sweetness isn't flavour.

        • @hoxygt:

The only thing resembling flavour in the ingredients is called "flavour"

I'm not sure what your point is?

If you take away the sugar and E955, you get a product that is basically nothing.

The product is literally made up of sugar, starch and sweetener.

        • @samfisher5986:

          and whats your point?

You don't like the product, think its a waste of money and wouldn't give these to kids - fine, that point was made in your first post.

I choose to give these to my kids once in a while despite them being artificial and put in far too much packaging because that's my choice and that makes this deal quite a bargain - I might even be able to help my local school do some fundraising.

        • @hoxygt:

I'm not saying you shouldn't buy them.

I'm saying you should understand that these are the equivalent to sugar free nesquik type products. If you are happy buying those for your kids, then you can be happy buying Sipahh.

The whole point is I wouldn't want parents buying this product thinking its either low in sugar or free from E955.

    • "which are much cheaper…."

How can you get something cheaper than "FREE" ? your logic seems weird anyway.

      • I was commenting on how good the product is, not if you should redeem this deal or not.

School or Sports Club = OzBargain Utd.

  • Yum!

  • Nice! I always keep one of those in my backpack for milk emergencies!

    • +1

      What's a milk emergency?

Is that when a cow needs urgent milking?

      • +5

It's not just limited to cows!

I feel the title is misleading.
It's not signing up for a mailing list — it involves requesting a fundraising pack for a sports club. It's not for fans of Sipahh - it's meant for sports clubs

    • +8

      it's meant for sports clubs

But, Ozbargaining is a sport! It's all about hunting for the best deals and gathering the goods from the shop counter to the kitchen counter. It's all about blood, sweat and dollars when it comes to the one who can bargain the most!

    Thanks Donga :)

Negged because I didn't receive anything the last time this deal was posted this year. Seems like they're either farming for details or just aren't interested in sending any samples.

    • +2

I got mine from the last sample. Stayed on their mailing list as I liked the product and now buy them every now and again.

    • I got mine, did you not get yours?

  • Thanks!!

  • Received mine today! Thanks OP! :)

    • Me too!

  • Got my sample today. It even said "Ozbargain Ltd" on the front of the letter too!
