  • thanks OP! bought one

    • I bought 2 lol

      • +1

Essentially I paid $29 for it. Had $20 off from VisaCheckout and added couple items to get free shipping. LOL!! Worth a punt regardless of the bad reviews..

  • I thought this was a good deal till I realised you have to pay $69 to be part of the "Catch Club"

What a ripoff - and people complain about Costco!!

    • @ costco you get nothing for the membership, here you get free shipping as often as you want for orders over $50.-

      • +2

Costco sells a full size - cabin size set for $150, IIRC. Got one set a few months ago.

      • +3

So next to nothing. I can count the times I have spent more than 50 bucks at COTD on one finger over a 10 year period

    • +1

you can get a free trial month. Just make sure it doesn't auto renew

      • Yes, you can sign up for the 30 day free trial and then cancel before the 30 days is up and pay nothing

        • This was reduced to 14 days - can no longer get 30 days as a Trial.

        • It says 7 days on their site now!

  • Can you sign up to the trial, order, then cancel?

    • Yes, you can.

  • brilliant - got one. thanks OP!

    any reviews on this product?

  • +10

Just google before i buy turnout it has bad review. I pass.

    • Yep, I saw the same reviews. Not great. Still pretty cheap I guess.

    • thanks for this note, glad i saw your comment, almost bought one. the reviews are horrible haha

    • Likewise, was about to buy for my Tokyo trip but no thanks, I'll just go with a duffel.

    • thanks for this, almost buy one since I thought its a good price. Will pass :)

tfw associated negs the deal lmao

Don't know how I managed to tick that box…but I did.

Caution. This bag weighs 2.4Kgs, pretty hefty for a soft cabin roller.

If you're taking advantage of any low cost carrier airline deals and only using your carry on baggage allowance of 7Kgs. Leaving you with only 4.6Kgs.

    Not much.

    • +1

      that's why, i just lug a duffle bag :)

  • Thanks! Bought one+1

  • Anyone know how this compares to "Glad" branded garbage bags? I frequently travel via long distance interstate bus lines and need something that can haul an overnight supply of clothes and a few packs of smokes, preferably with a rugged theft-resistant exterior.

  • +1

what can you add for a $1 ?? To get the free shipping

    • Maybe a 3m HDMI cable for$3.47 or Fujitsu Alkaline G AA/AAA Batteries 40-Pack for $5?

    • I add 2 x Sunsol museli for $6. I decided to buy one though the review is really bad but for this price it's pretty cheap.

Also, just beware of cabin (carry-on) baggage dimension limits. Some airlines obviously offer a checked baggage allowance, but if you've already used it or there's no free allowance, you might be relying on the cabin bag limit.

COTD lists this item as 56 cm x 35 cm x 23/25 cm (linear 114–116 cm), and some airlines' stated allowances are smaller than this.

Airline/service Cabin bag limit Within limit?
    Qantas (for most domestic) 56 x 36 x 23
    Qantas (Dash 8) 48 x 34 x 23 1
    Virgin (domestic or int'l short haul) 48 x 34 x 23
    Jetstar (except some NZ regional) 56 x 36 x 23
    Tigerair 54 x 38 x 23
    Rex 48 x 34 x 23
    AirAsia 56 x 36 x 23
    Scoot 54 x 38 x 23
    Ryanair 55 x 40 x 20
    easyJet 56 x 45 x 25

    1. The Qantas Dash 8 props I've been on let you leave your (large-ish) carry-on bag by the aircraft steps, and they stow it for you from there.

      +1 for the table!

    • +4

      Great table

I had no idea Virgin only allowed 105 (48 x 34 x 23) cabin bags. Never seen them enforce this on all those people with 115 (56 x 36 x 23)cabin bags. Would be irritating if they did.

And you're right about the Dash 8 turbo props, if your bag is over this little size they don't check it in, but attach a little label and store it in the hold.

      • Yeah they don't enforce 50(48) size. Standard travel cabin anywhere in this world is a 55 size type and that's what a lot of people use.

Imagine a 55 user who regularly flies Jetstar or Tiger or Qantas, then one day goes on a Virgin flight and gets denied at the gate? I don't think so.

Even Samsonite's top of the range Cosmolite FL and Firelite series don't come in 50. 55 is their minimum.

  • Signed up to club catch trial, got to checkout, entered card details and before hitting submit took one quick glance at online reviews… Abort mission.

    • 10 year warranty so no loss at the price, I saw the same but if your not dragging it across the Sahara I suspect it will do fine, especially for a small size bag.

      • +1

I have had my 2yr old Antler bag fail on me (zip packed up and teh telescopic handle doesn't work anymore) and the warranty isn't worth jack. The local suppliers won't touch it because it was bought online (Scoupon) and the online supplier won't touch it because it is outside of their return period of 1yr

  • What can you get for $1 at COTD?

  • Where are the reviews?

  • Not worth it. Too heavy for flying(why its so cheap). You can get an 80L suitcase at the same weight

  • I have this bag and another, larger Cyberlite for my main luggage. I fly internationally a fair bit and love this case! It's light, it's wheelie, and it's very good quality. Antler is a top brand.

  • I ordered one :)

  • +1

First get the referral credit and then order something and cancel it and order again n use the referral credit and use visa checkout …

    you end up paying $30

    • Is the visa checkout discount for new member only?

  • don't know I saw that visa checkout thing so I cancelled the order .. Then luckily i could use the referred money as well.. so extra $10 discount

  • So I paid $30 for suitcase and $20 worth of extra stuff :)

    • Must be a typo. I think it's meant to be 2.65kg.

  • true dedication to a bargain, just spent 2 hours battling the COTD website, inching towards the checkout to secure this. What a steal
