It was a truncated ebay link, since when does ebay have a referral program!!!??

        • Since businesses like cashrwards existed.

  • i might have to try to hunt one of these.

  • I heard the brother machines put a heap of margin and even at the lowest setting it still wastes a heap of tape.
Out of all of them, the Epson range wastes the least tape.

    • Mine puts out 2.5cm at the start, plus you can set it for 4mm margins at each end. The 4mm is good, about what I'd want.

    "Comes with 12mm starter cartridge."

The NRA got excited reading this bit

    • from what i remember the starter cartridges dont last that long :(.

      • Should be: The labels in the starter cartridges is not long.

        12mm is a scam¡ You'd think they'd give you at least 50cm or so on a starter tape¡¡¡

    • I think they all missed NRA bit! In US will become a voting issue!

  • My local woolworths scanned at $32

    • Where's yous? Mine is Vic, Woolworths pricing is mostly nationwide for non grocery items.

Not so for clearance items. It varies from store to store. Sunshine stores have consistently better deals on both clearance and mark downs than Braybrook store 2km away.

Country Vic. The tapes were marked down. The printer was still marked $40 but got them to scan it and it scanned at $32.

  • Southland WA priced at $40, but scanned for $16. After I bought one, there are still 3 left on the shelf. I don't think anyone will get it since it shows $40 on the shelf.

if it scans incorrectly then you should be getting it free!

      • +1

Only if you pay more than the ticketed price.

      • Should i say, $16 is too cheap, i want to pay $40 for it!!! So i can get it for free?

  • I never got used to mine - these really need QWERTY

  • Scanned at $24 in my local store. They discounted it to $16 (60% off)….
I should of asked if they could do it for $10…. lol
I will pick mine up on Monday.

Looks like starter cartridges are 5m long based on this post:

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/16173

"Unlike ordinary labels, Brother labels use laminated tapes for exceptional durability. The lamination ensures that it resistant to smudges, stains, streaks, marks, rips, fading and peeling.

A Brother laminated label is also water-resistant so they'll never run and will always look their best."

  • WA…$24 (from $40)

  • Managed to find a store with the label maker for $16 and also got two sets of tapes marked down to $6

    • which store for the tapes ?

  • Pakenham, Vic, but it was only one the 12mm tape and there wasn't much left

  • Rockdale NSW scanned at $24. Bought one anyway.

  • Belmont NSW scans at $24

  • Kogarah NSW no stock. Wolli Creek scans at 24$, tape 12$. Should I stock the tape? What is the normal price?
