Cheapest Place to Advertise for Retail Job

Hi all,

Just wondering what's the cheapest website to advertise for retail work. I'm talking about the more popular site I guess , as I just need to advertise for 2 weeks to fulfil a visa sponsorship requirements for my employee. So I just need to advertise for the sake of advertising. Pretty sure seek is the mist expensive I guess?

Don't 'advertise for the sake of advertising'. The visa sponsorship exists if you can't find an employee locally.

You admit you're just trying to get around the system and employee a non-local resident for visa purposes. That's really bad

  • If you are ready to spend $120, try this: https://www.spotjobs.com/advertiser

  • Spotjobs.com is where all the low end retail jobs are advertised. They're much cheaper than Seek's $260 per listing.

  • What about jobsearch.com.au? Looks like it's from gov and it's free.. Guess this is the one then huh

i think it might be .gov.au

so you are going to advertise for someone else just so another meets a visa rule?

What retail job are you advertising for that would require a skilled worker who cannot be sourced locally? The part where you seem to want to advertise the job somewhere it may not get as many applications from local searchers seems a bit dodgy. In addition, you already have a non-local employee lined up which makes it seem like you'll unfairly reject any appropriate local applications you may receive for the job.

this sounds really scummy. You're wasting everyones time.

without judging OP but agree with you Davo about wasting people time if the job has been fixed.

Not that ordinary Australains Would think of 457 - our government should have a better way to differentiate the genuine need from the scum.

You have immigration agents, desperate migrants, shonky employers who exploit the loophole.

Employers exploited cheap labour may find themselves later to pay for huge fines and compensation once the workers got their PA visa and sued the hell out of employer on unpaid overtime.

Also, WTF a guy would suddenly become a religious clerk (eg a monk) and return to ordinary life after getting the visa.
      Shame shame to the government,

BTW re OP question, scum jobs are advertised free in scumtree.
Just google job advertise 457 visa, you will find them.

Be careful of wording as can be potentially illegal due to discrimination against local Australians.

  • You can judge me however you want, but truth is it's almost impossible to find anyone work in rural permanently. Case is closed.

    • Almost impossible, yet you've clearly never advertised and your post seems to indicate that you have no intention of considering anyone who did.
What say you try doing things the legal and ethical way first, before you "close the case".

    • but truth is it's almost impossible to find anyone work in rural permanently.

what's the job? what's the pay?

I'm honestly willing to move to nowhere for the right role.
