Call me a tight arse but I rather stick to crude tissues sourced from Asian variety stores. 65 cents per box. Why do people make such an fuss over tissues/toilet paper? You sneeze or wipe your arse with them then dispose of it.

    • +3

Possibly because a lot of Chinese/Indonesian paper is sourced from non-renewable forests?

      • -2

        Possibly because marketing

        • Also, they must be badly stored as they smell musty. Can't be hygienic.

Aldi tissues are around a dollar for 220. No fancy smell, though.

      • Just checked my tissues. Manufactured in Australia. Australian owned company. If you buy into hype good for you but voting negative is rather immature. When I last checked this was a bargain site not Harrods but feel free to waste your money on something that touches your skin for a few seconds.

After wiping your nose 50 times a day cheap tissue becomes sandpaper. This deal is well worth it and I'm buying 30 boxes.

      • +3

Yeah, these tissues are an investment in your nose skin and sanity if you have a bad cold. Other times though, regular tissues do just fine. I'll buy one box maybe two, but not 30 LOL.

        • I'm hard core. BF4, Call Of Duty and luxurious tissues for my delicate nose.

      You tight arse.

I stopped using the cheap tissues from Asian grocery stores years ago. While they are cheap, I've noticed the actual size of the tissues have gotten smaller and smaller while the box itself is the same size lol.

    • never seen these, I assume it's like sandpaper

      • Buy a box and compare them with no name brands. You will find that they are pretty much the same.

I'm of the opinion that getting the Cottonelle toilet rolls to use as tissues is better value, because let's face it, Cottonelle toilet paper is useless for wiping your bum.

    • Cottonelle is the worst.

      • +5

Cottonelle is great if you want shit smeared underneath your finger nails.

"Got in touch with my inner self today. Never gonna buy cheap toilet paper again."

      • Yeah, but how long would a pack of them last solely for the use of blowing your nose?

      • Did something happen to Cottonelle? I remember it used to be quite good, then I got some recently and it was terrible. Similar thing with Sorbent, but not to same extent.

    • surely it might be even worse for blowing your nose considering the greater speed? :)

After reviewing the price per 100 sheets, I still went for the Jumbo Pack with 250.. The Jumbo pack is $1.18 per 100 sheets, this deal is $1.32 per 100 sheets.

Jumbo pack might be less ply not sure, but still okay for me.

Blowing your nose…? Oh, yeah, that is what I use tissues for too… ha.. ha..
