      im a ps person, but the ps4 imo is rubbish. controllers are shit, trigger buttons kept breaking. my ps kept reseting and freezing. i got 2 other ones (under warranty), same issues i sold it right away.

      look up ps4 common issues and you will see for yourself. i ws hpoing with the new 1tb ps4 they would address the issues, im not confident in buying a ps4 until all the issues are fixed.

      If it was me buy the xbone

          i do now, it offers no reseting or freezing, no buttons breaking after a month. That's enough for me to own a xbone.

          Deciding which to get. I own a ps3 for years now and never had any issues with it. I still use it daily. not sure if xbox one is worth getting.

          I own both (my PS4 is the newer model). The PS4 converted me from a PC gamer to a console gamer and I thought I was a PC gamer for life. I only bought an Xbone because I loved my PS4 so much I thought I'd give it a go but everything about it is wrong for me. Maybe it's just because I'm a girl but I really hate the current Xbone GUI…I get lost. The Ps4 on the other hand is easy to locate everything. For me the PS4 has a LOT more exclusives I'm interested in. Idk if having small hands helps determine my preference but I much prefer the feel of the PS4 controller, the Xbone controller feels cheap in comparison to me. The Xbone is also an ugly giant brick but that's just my opinion xD I've also never had my PS4 freeze but I have had the Xbone freeze twice.

          Overall I'd recommend getting which ever console has the games you want to play most either now or in the near future. Obviously if both had all the same games, I'd choose PS4 in a heartbeat!

          Ok, going by all the negs to bti_jet, there's a lot of PS4 fanboi's here negging just because they can, not because of any real reasons.

          If you want an unbiased and recent comparison, have a read of this (done earlier this month): http://www.techradar.com/au/news/gaming/consoles/ps4-vs-xbox…

          There's a stack more comparisons available online, but this one is nice and recent and includes recent sales data (which in itself is NOT the end all be all factor btw).

          From what I know and what I've read, the main considerations:

          XBone- Backwards compatibility with 360 games, Win10 streaming abilities (you can use it as a media hub and very soon game streaming too), full DVR ability, cheaper, Kinect sensor (PS4 has a camera, but no comparison there), function over form (its bigger, but allows easier access to stuff), WiFi included and supports 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz, you can add external hard drives but cant change internal one with voiding warranty, HDMI throughport (in and out), IR blaster connection, better CPU, 8GB DDR3 RAM, MP3 and DNLA capable.

          PS4- Will soon have DVR ability, outselling MS 2 to 1 atm, form over function (its smaller, and is harder to access cables if required), Wifi upgradable (not inc) and only 2.4Ghz, allows you to replace internal hard drive but no external storage can be connected, HDMI out only, better GPU, 8GB DDR5 RAM. The PS4 is capable of more terraflops (raw graphics power), but that alone doesnt determine graphics in games on consoles. It's the developers alone that truely know which console is better.

          At the end of the day, depends on what you want from a console.
          - If you want online gaming with mates, first question to ask is what do they have- and get that :).
          - If you have a library of older games, sticking with the same brand will allow you to play them (eventually… compatibility improving in both camps, but Playstation wont do it for free!!).
          - From a graphics comparison, its so close that depending on which review you read and which games they demonstrate, will determine who is better. In the above review, the video side by side comparison indicates PS4 is better. I personally don't agree with it and think the PS4 looks a little more 'blurry', but its up to what you can see. When playing games on both consoles, I reckon the movie cut scenes on the PS4 look better inbetween game action, whereas to me the XB1 seems for fluid and clearer in action, but looks inferior in the cut scenes.
          - The different consoles also have some exclusives in regards to games (Halo/Titan/Forza on XB are worth a serious consideration, whereas PS4 has a few titles too).

          I own both and love both. I 'prefer' the XB1, but the PS4 is no slouch. I like NBA, driving games, and massive roleplayers like Fallout and Elder Scrolls. I reckon all these games look better on the XB1, but I have mates who swear by the PS4 so I have that too. I actually think Xbox Live is superior to PS4's online offering as well, but I reckon that has more to do with XB1 having the M$ marketing machine being able to throw money at it to develop the content. ESPN, Fox, and Skype are apps I use every week on the XB1… those in themselves is enough to sway me. Again, its that PC native connectability on the XB1 thats a huge lure. I still actually prefer the PS controller though! Even from PS1 days, they hit the nail on the head with the controller. It gives me blisters when I play for ages, but the buttons are easier to access and are in 'logical' spots. The XB controller on the other hand is clunkier, but I can play Skyrim for hours and my hands are fine afterwards! Maybe its just that I'm used to PS controller after all these years, but I prefer it when playing NBA. Tough one.

          Up to you at end of the day. But at the moment PS4 is outselling the XB1. I reckon M$ stuffed up by pricing themselves too high at the start, and have left the door open to Sony to build a massive online experience with friends opting for the cheaper (and better?) option.

          Im a ps fan, but sony has let me down on this console simply due to Reliability.

          I can't be bother with games constantly freezing or reseting, and my control trigger buttons breaking (3 times, 3x consoles, controllers under warranty) . Normal playing, i don't throw or twist controls. And owning 3 ps4's that all did the same thing.

          I'll wait for sony to attend these issues before going anywhere near one.

          again as UFO said its personal preference, just keep in mind the issues most people are having with the ps4's, if it doesn't bother you id say go the ps4, at the end of the day its a more powerful system compared to the xbone.

    I have a 360 got it 2 plus yrs ago and not really had time to use it much it was upgraded from a previous xbox i had,maybe i day use since new.
    As we are aware you just cant keep up with these things you buy and before you know it out comes another,i take you cant use 360 games on this one?having loads of xbox 360 games kinect steering wheel is the new machine really that better? I used to be big fans of both xbox and ps but they just make us wanna buy new machines and start over with games seems like a good price but not sure if to wait,when did the Xbox one come out just out of interest not really been checking

      Xbox 360 came out in 2005 and the Xbox One came out in 2013. 8 years apart doesn't really seem like they're releasing a new console too often.

      go to www.cashrewards.com.au and create an account (make sure you turn off any ad blockers etc that you're using!).

      Once you log in to the Cashrewards site, click on THEIR link through to Ebay… search for Xbox one 1tb bundle and add it to cart, add in the discount code and go through payment etc all the way to the end.

      I usually then just leave it sitting there a few minutes in the background just in case.

      In a few days / week you'll get an email saying the purchase was tracked.

          Nah don't ignore it. I had a similar case with DSE. Paypal charged my credit card $80 more than the ebay's invoice. I showed it to Paypal. Paypal confirmed that the charge shown by Paypal was correct but it should have charged the ebay invoice, need to talk to retailer. Couple of days later credit card statement confirmed paypal's amount. Opened resolution thingy with Paypal against DSE. Waited for 20+ days without any response from DSE. Asked Paypal to credit me the amount, which they did.

    It will show full amount in your PayPal. But if you click it will show your payment method has only been charged 366.40 and the extra 20% has been contributed by eBay as the retailer gets full amount.

      When the games are exclusive such as these, it's usually a download code. The only time you get physical copies is when it's a bundle done on the side by a retailer, although sometimes MS themselves add bundles on their site with physical discs but they are usually special holiday bundles and not actual Xbox One SDK. This here is a regular Xbox One Bundle with those 3 games, they will probably be download codes. You may want to confirm with others though.
