Read the reviews for the game first! I spent $150 on the Limited Edition… I only did 5 missions before giving up on it.

    • Halo 5 has universal acclaim, both single player and multi. not sure what you are on about

      • Yeah the reviews are actually pretty good. Personally I didn't like having to rely on the useless AI when finishing the campaign on legendary this time around, it felt more like carrying around baggage, but all in all I enjoyed the game.

        Overall it did pretty well:
        http://www.metacritic.com/game/xbox-one/halo-5-guardians

      • no split screen
        microtransactions
        half assed story
        i'd say it's a winner /sarcasm

All I said was to read the reviews.

Then I said I only did 5 missions.

Not sure what you're on about.

    • I like the game.. its fun :) graphics are great too. .. that's what its all about these days.. "having fun" And this is coming from someone who used to play Counter strike, Day of Defeat, Team fortress Classic, Quake 3 area.. all the classic FPS games of the past and current.

Got it for $418 during the 25% sale last month, it's a sexy console.

  • +2

Really? $418. I would buy that for $418 but not $479. Nothing as good as 3 games bundle for $366. Come on Target restock!

  • +2

GAHHH DON'T DO THIS TO ME!

    EDIT*
    Okay I bought it…

    • Hahahaha I love this!

  • Did they adjust prices? I swear I saw this for $366 after deals a few days ago?

    YOLO BOYS GOT IT

Halo console is kind of awful. The sounds it makes drove me away.

    • +2

The limited controllers and console look fantastic, not just skins of graphics, finished in a variety of textures and colours with a bunch of little cues and easter eggs to the universe. Its incredibly well done. But I get if its not someones thing to have a flashy console. The on/off sound isnt amazing. But its hardly a deal breaker.

      • +1

You are essentially paying an extra $100-150 for a skinned console and controller, right? Cues and easter eggs on the surface of the skin? I'm confused sorry.

SEXY SKIN BOYS HALO FOR LIFE I LOVE MY LIFE

        • +3

As I said the controller and console isnt just 'skinned' in the past it was common place for limited hardware to just be painted or a vinyl graphic applied. But the Halo 5 stuff has etching, satin, gloss, chrome finishes and raised painted graphics. Its not like a racecar with brand stickers plastered on it. It is really well done.

Plus it comes with all the bonus REQ's, animated series, and character profile papers.

If you like that kinda thing its a great deal. However if you prefer the plain look, which I am sure most would. And dont care about the little extras you get and just want to go shoot some aliens and could careless about the universe. Its isnt great value.

As far as a bundle goes, there are much better deals. Its aimed at halo fans not people who want 4 different games with their console.

        • @Justin Powell: Oh well sold out now anyway. If there is a deal for it at $430 or under and the Target deal doesn't restock I'll probably get it (but I doubt they will be selling them for $430 anytime soon). I understand why the Elite is priced at $599 (and you can get COD with that as well) because of the SSD and controller, I guess this is more a 'collector's edition' piece for those who are willing to pay a not unsubstantial premium for having a Halo themed console.

        • Take care of a Halo console and when it's out of date you might not lose money selling it, a standard Xbox one will depreciate a lot quicker, like the Xbox/Xbox 360 did

  • 6 sold, 3 left now… Going for a pass on this. Waiting on the Target deal.

    • They are actively restocking so now it's 7 sold/7 available.

      • 8 sold :)

  • Hmm if Fallout 4 was included (like it is at EB) I'd buy

    • I can't see the Halo bundle with Fallout 4 at EB games?

      • It was DEFINITELY available at least a week ago (I considered it), but it's gone now hmm…here's the ozb link -> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/216184

        • Ahh yeah fair enough! Would still be cheaper to buy this bundle and F4 seperate?

        • @cala90:

Yeah it would be. But the point is, if it was bundled with F4 like EB did for $599 - it would be a great deal and a no-brainer buy.

Without F4 it's good, but not great.

        • @GreatWhiteHunter: ? Can't you just buy F4 and purchase this and it would come to $550 approx? Doesn't this make it a better deal?

  • code applies for anything. get the White Lunar controller for $67 free delivery or pick up on 18/10

  • Sold out

  • DAMN IT, forgot to use cash rewards to get another $16 off :(

  • welp that didn't last long…

  • Is a 1 TB even necessary

    • why do people keep asking this question, ffs

      • Because I would like to know, ffs

        • You are forced to install all your games so if you intend on getting a decent collection, yes.

        • @Alvinat3r:
Thank you for a helpful answer.

    • the answer is Schrödinger's cat
