Liive Polarised Sunglasses Wayfarer Unisex $9.60 Delivered @ Surfstich eBay

820
CGIFT20

Original eBay CGIFT20 deal

Seems like a good deal for some Wayfarer style Polarised Sunglasses. Might be good as a backup. Two models are available for $9.60 delivered - Cochise (linked) and Mono. There is another called Manhatten but that is $12.80 delivered.

I bought some Cochise matte sunglasses and they have good build quality and lenses seem good too.

Keep in mind that these are fairly small sunglasses by the looks of it and it might not suit larger faces.

Non polarised glasses also available at same or similar prices.

Posted via Express post by the way.

Cashback is at 3.5%

Edit: thought I would mention that these are cat 3 lenses which offers pretty good uv protection.

edit2: Cochise Matte is out of stock now - cochise torte, manhatten and mono still available.

    might not suit larger faces.

I'd be curious if anyone with a big head has tried these? (Or have other suggestions?)

I find many sunglasses put kinda painful pressure on the sides of my largish noggin :)

I also have a big head.. we need a big head sunglass store

      • +2

I second and third that. And a hat one too, I cannot find baseball hats that are ok. And while we are there some headphones that do not break just like that one my head… you can tell I have problems.

      • Plus size glasses models

    • +1

Now that I received the glasses, they do not really suit large faces. The cochise is small. The mono is a bit small but can be worn without looking like the frames are gonna pop out.

        Thanks! Great to know :)

Kinda weird looking. But good price for polarised.

  • +3

I have a pair and they have actually become my primary pair. Absolute bargain for polarised sunnies.

As for head size, I have a narrow head and they fit me perfectly. I'd question their appropriateness for fat headed humans.

    • What are the hinges like? Sturdy? Metal?

      Thanks

      • +1

I have a pair of the manhattens and they have lasted really well and very solid hinges. Thanx for post just got some cochise

      for fat headed humans.

A bit sizist, don't you think?

How would you like it if I said that you have an anorexic head…

      • What's up with the down votes?

        Bullying

    • Do you have Mono or Manhattan?

  • Anyone has got link for Cochise matte sunglasses?

    • Select black color in the listing

    • +1

Just go onto select colour and can change from there.

  • +2

Great, lens cat. 3 and polarised and free express delivery for that price is a steal. Thanks OP!

  • +1

Done - grabbed one of each colour of the Cochise. Backup sunnies always get used.
Thanks OP - nice spotting through the lense ;)

  • Quite thick rims on them and quite narrow, definitely would look weird on my face. Wish there were more polarized lenses at this price.

  • nvm

Nope no OzB birthday rewards here :(

  • Can't go wrong for that price & can be a good gift anyway if it doesn't fit me. Thanks OP

  • Cheers got one good for driving I hope.

  • +1

    TY OP! Just ordered :)

  • +1

Thanks OP, got a few of the Manhatten. Was gonna order the Mono ones but they looked quite big on the model chick in the photo… unless she has a small head.

Also I'm guessing they are old/discontinued styles as I couldn't find them on the Liive website. Not that it matters in the slightest though, just cheaper prices for us!

    • Mono look huge indeed. I think cochise is a good middle ground though.

  • +1

Grabbed the Cochise in Matte Black. Perfect timing for summer - cheers OP!

Wayfarer style are not wayfarers are they.

  • do they have spring hinges (if that's the correct term)?

  • +2

Jeez, ordered these last night, and came at midday today.

Arrived within 24hrs! Great value for money. Wondering if I should've gotten the matte version too (now sold out). Is anyone able to compare the Manhatten and the Cochise sunnies?

    • The manhattan are more of a ladies style with a Dame Edna type flare to the top edge of the frame. Handed them on to the trouble and strife.

  • +1

got two of these, perfect! Cheers OP! it came in 48 hrs I'm in Newcastle.

    • +1

Glad to have helped. I've been wearing them for a few days now and they are quite well made.

      • +1

Yes, solid build quality and the polarised version that I got makes quite a difference, especially when it rains! Am quite happy with this buy, one for an xmas stocking filler.

I just got my Manhattans and didn't realise from the pictures that they had a 'I'm a fancy-boy' silver strip along the top (the dirty bastards had a different pair of glasses on the picture with the model wearing them). Luckily you can unscrew it and remove it and they look good now.

The build quality is as good as any $100+ sunnies I've owned. In fact, the hinges on these Liive's seems much sturdier than the hinges on my old Fox/Oakley sunnies.

    • Good to hear :)

I normally got the Cancer Council sunnies from Sunglass Hut when they had their specials. Sadly they stopped stocking it. Maybe they found out that I was commenting on sunglass threads here about how the lenses are made by the same people that make Ray Bans etc. Obviously the more expensive sunnies look better and might have better constructions, but lense wise, I found no fault at all with the Cancer Council ones and they saved me heaps of cash.

My 2 x Cochise arrived. Pretty nice addition to my collection but I was surprised not even a soft microfibre drawstring case or pouch came with them for storage…

    • It's $9 :-)

      They're quite tough though.

      • +1

Agreed, but the RRP is $49.95 :)
