FIRE blankets can be used to extinguish small fires in the home, caravan, boat or garage. They can also be used to wrap around a person whose clothes have caught alight. It is best to install fire blankets in or adjacent to a kitchen – but not too close to a potential hazard. On the back of your pantry door is a good location. Constructed of fibreglass, fire blankets can withstand temperatures up to 500°c. They are compact and portable and can be stored almost anywhere. They are packaged in a high quality, quick-release PVC container.

$20 for fire extinguisher + fire blanket at Aldi

    • Is this actually available to buy right now? If so, I'd be interested.

Please post a catalogue link or something similar.

      • I think they're seasonal.

  • Shouldn't these be called "fire suppression blanket" or similar?

Indeed it should. It's like how many schools have a "bullying committee", when it is actually an "anti-bullying committee". Or so one would hope.

  • The deal really should include the postage on the item. it's $9.95 to Brisbane which kinda kills it as officeworks or Aldi usually have intermittent deals on fire suppressant products.

the code will negate the shipping fee to bring it down to $10 or $5.

      • Ahh well I stand corrected. Sorry about that.
