Star Wars: The Phantom Menace
Stranded on the planet Tatooine after rescuing Queen Amidala (Natalie Portman) of Naboo, Jedi apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) and his Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) discover nine-year-old Anakin Skywalker, a young slave. Gifted with the power of the Force, Anakin wins his freedom and leaves home to be trained as a Jedi. Back on Naboo, Anakin and the Queen face a massive invasion while the two Jedi confront a lethal foe named Darth Maul. They soon realize the invasion is part of a sinister scheme by forces of darkness known as the Sith.

Star Wars: Attack Of The Clones
Ten years after the invasion of Naboo, Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen), now twenty years old, is an apprentice to Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor). With the galaxy on the brink of civil war, an assassination attempt is made on Senator Padmé Amidala (Natalie Portman), former Queen of Naboo. Anakin is assigned to protect her and in the course of his mission, the young Jedi falls in love with Padmé, while also discovering his own darker side. Anakin, Padmé and Obi-Wan Kenobi are ultimately drawn into the escalating galactic conflict and the beginning of the Clone Wars.

Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith
Years after the onset of the Clone Wars, the Sith unveil a thousand-year-old plot, the Republic crumbles and from its ashes rises the evil Galactic Empire. Confirming the worst fears of Jedi Mace Windu (Samuel L. Jackson), Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) is seduced by the dark side of the Force and becomes the Emperor’s new apprentice—Darth Vader. The Jedi are decimated, as Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) and Jedi Master Yoda are forced into hiding. The only hope for the galaxy are Anakin’s own children… a boy and girl who share a heroic destiny.

Star Wars: A New Hope
Nearly two decades after the rise of the Empire, young farmer Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) meets Obi-Wan Kenobi (Alec Guinness), who has lived for years in seclusion on the desert planet of Tatooine. Obi-Wan begins Luke’s Jedi training, telling him of the Rebels’ battle against the Empire and the power known as the Force. Soon Luke, Obi-Wan, and a charismatic mercenary named Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and his Wookiee sidekick Chewbacca, join forces to rescue Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) from the Empire’s massive warship, the Death Star, controlled by Darth Vader.

Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
Following the destruction of the Death Star, Imperial forces pursue the Rebel Alliance to the ice planet Hoth. After a devastating defeat, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) journeys to the planet Dagobah to train with the Jedi Master Yoda. Meanwhile, in the Cloud City of Bespin, Darth Vader attempts to lure Luke into a trap by kidnapping Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher). When Luke comes to their rescue, he must fight a fierce lightsaber duel with Darth Vader himself and come face to face with a stunning revelation that could change his destiny.

Star Wars: Return of the Jedi
As the Empire prepares to crush the Rebel Alliance with a more powerful Death Star, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) rescues Han Solo (Harrison Ford) from the clutches of crime lord Jabba the Hutt. On the forest moon of Endor, the Rebels plot to destroy the Empire’s new weapon with help from a tribe of Ewoks. Luke confronts his father Darth Vader in a final climactic duel on the Death Star. In his final moments, Vader is faced with a momentous choice…with the life of his son and the freedom of the galaxy hanging in the balance.

Is there any difference with this and edition that came out 2011?

  • +8

In a month this complete saga will be complete no more ;)

  • I maybe mistaken, but my understanding is that you don't get steelbooks for complete sage box set, the only way to get steelbook is to buy the each movie individually

  • Does compilation include the Original Theatrical release of the Star Wars Trilogy(4,5,6) without the added CGI and altered scenes?

    • +3

Nope. Trust me, you would have heard about it.

I'm assuming you're aware of the 'despecialized edition'? If not, google it, it's a fan-made unedited copy of the original trilogy as released in theaters.

      • Cheers for the info, bud. I was hoping deep down that this would be the one I would buy that had the unedited original trilogy in all its 1080p glory…. I guess I'll keep on dreaming and waiting till lucas decides to release it (even though he has said that the original unedited version no longer exists).

        • Lucas? Disney…

They'll milk it for all it's worth but I can see them eventually releasing the original trilogy, sparking a massive buying frenzy.

As it stands, I no longer count myself as a Star Wars fan. I haven't even made any plans to see the new film.

        • @Trickey:
Ah, tough talking nerds. "I won't spend one more cent until I see Han shooting first!"

Lucas already milked you anyway sunshine.

        • @Marto:

Ah, tough talking keyboard warriors that pretend they know everything about someone from a forum post.

          Keep it up, "sunshine."

  • Isn't this $79 at Target?

    http://www.target.com.au/p/star-wars-complete-saga-blu-ray/5…

No available online but maybe in store?

    • Great deal, even better, but only if they have stock at the moment. Well this JB deal last for 4 days only, so unless Target has stock for the next 4 days.. i would dare to say that JB is still the cheapest for now.

  • It's a shame they didn't bundle the digital copy in with it.

    • +2

      Make MKV + Handbrake

      • nah rather cloud services these days. I mostly buy UV codes for $2-5 a movie and don't even bother buying the physical discs anymore. No need to manage disc space or making copies etc. I make an exception for Star Wars, Doctor Who, Marvel and Studio Ghibli though.

I lost my Star Wars Blurays a while back (ie borrowed and never returned) so I would have been able to kill 2 birds with 1 stone if the digital codes were there.

        • So if i sell my UV codes is that classified as pirating?

        • @clarky: Nope. Breach of the terms and conditions but not piracy as they are legal codes.

  • May the forks be with you.
