Oranjeboom Apple Cider comes with a fruity natural aroma of fresh hand-picked apples, unveiling its refreshing character. Oranjeboom Apple Cider is a medium dry and sizzly drink with sweet tasting notes of crisp apples, together with a touch of that balances it. Over 22 species of hand-picked apples are used including juicy Dutch apples. It finishes with a pleasant medium long aftertaste that is both citrus and sweet.

    Is it any good?

    • Sounds good, but I'm waiting for other opinions :)

BTW, made any bets on winning the flag yet? :P

      • I don't care how they sound… How do they taste ??

I bought some a few days ago. Good, clean, pleasant tasting cider without any 'wow' factor, but at $3 per liter one can hardly complain. Cheaper than bottled water at many places. Made in Belgium from imported fruit concentrate.

Special runs until the end of November. My local Dan Murphy's in SA had plenty of stock.

  • I'd say worth a try, but not something I will buy again. This months Rekorderlig Dry is nicer. No where near as sweet as the normal Rekorderlig.

  • this isnt a bad cider, but it's not a good one either. It does allow a cheap night's fun though.

  • "natural aroma of fresh hand-picked apple" makes me think of a bunch of sweaty & hung over backpackers picking apples to meet their visa conditions.

No offence of course, only what I have seen in the TV and the tv never lies.

I also bought a carton, it's not overwhelmingly sweet as some people complain about cider, not too carbonated as well, easy to drink . . looking forward to having some during the hot summer months

Picked mine up, has an ok apple taste, but from "concentrate" apples, it is smoother and easier to drink than Rekorderlig, despite having 0.5% higher ABV, I'm not sure if this is because of the concentrate apple or sweetness masking the alc. But overall Oranjeboom get's a thumbs up from me, I would prefer less sweetness and no concentrate, also not a fan that it has preservative added but that can't really be avoided in most cider's, why I usually go for beer, but for this price it is a good buy. Rekorderlig has a similar sweetness but less of a concentrate taste, still overall would go with Oranjeboom for the price/value, I much prefer the Beck's beer I picked up before!
