    9.96-14.40 shipping.

    • you can use the report button to alert the mods about stuff

      • just realized the other one has expired as well,

don't know if its justified to report it…

  • This model seems to be discounted like crazy recently. Might have to finally pick one up.

  • Buggar of - I paid $107 last week (Deals Direct)
Thanks Topbuy for the late discount… :(

  • I can't get the $5 off coupon to apply. Says it can't be combined :(

    • +2

Can't get the coupons to combine here either. If it isn't possible to get this item at "$74.95" as stated in the title then the deal should be corrected by the rep — I'm voting negative until it is.

      • +1 Misleading title from "rep". Got this error on checkout while trying to apply both discount.
Certificate/Discount Code: special coupon for OZBARGAIN customers to buy Media Gear AP-110D
        -$10.00
Discount Cannot be Applied: This discount code may not be used with other discounts. (tbNewCustomerDXXXXXXXXXXXXX)

  • Where do you enter the coupon?
    Paypal doesnt recognize it.

    • Found it.
Only appears when you dont use 1click paypal express thing.
      At Step 3, payment.

    • go in through their normal checkout rather than paypal express. at the end, enter the coupon, then choose paypal as the payment method.

  • Does anyone have any thoughts on how these compare to the WDTV range of units (other than being cheaper)?

    • +1

I've bought 2 of the 110D's and also own an AP-300 which I bought with a built in HDD. I think they are fantastic. I've also bought 3 wireless adaptors to use with each unit. The AP-300 has a couple of niggling little issues, but nothing worth stressing over.
All in all, amazing value for a unit that can play 1080P, divx, mkv etc. HDMI out also works fine.
Remember to buy the astone recommended wireless dongle if you need wireless.

      • Cheers warrenkole.

Whats the difference between the 110D and the 300? I've seen some good deals for 300's include a large HDD for about $200.

        • 300 has an internal sata port (for connecting to an internal 3.5" sata hard drive). The case is bigger (in order to fit the hard drive inside), has a PC-Link port (so you can use it like an USB hard disk enclosure) and the component output does not require a special cable.

    • With all these media players… I am new to all this, can someone recommend which one to go for, I noticed another one wich seems to have additional features for similar price Noontec MovieHome V6 http://www.noontec.com/En/Products/MovieHome/091225144241280…

      • neither of these astones (the 110d and the ap-300) have a recording capability.
If the noontec is a similar price, I would go for that one…
Where is selling for similar price to an astone?

        • Important to note is that the noontec does NOT list h.264/x.264 or MKV in it's list of supported codecs and file containers. 99% of High Definition content that I see for download uses that combination.

In terms of raw power for a player (not a PVR), WDTV Live is the one to get (especially if you want to try one of the custom firmware releases). The only minor problem is rmvb support is missing (which is a bit strange, given WDTV (without Live) supports it).

AP-110D and AP-300 are not bad, the catch is it has a limited flash (so if you want to try other company's firmware - let's say A. C. Ryan's firmware), you cannot do it. Out of the two, unless you really want a big hard drive inside your media player, it is better to go for AP-110D (because some people have an issue with AP-300 where all the files stored on the internal hard drive disappeared..). The issue does not affect USB external hard drives connected to the device.

But realistically… bottom line.. none of them is perfect and they all seem to have issue with downsampling dolby digital TrueHD (pass through works, but you need an AV reciver).

        • Cheers for the informative post.

  • Has anyone worked out how to combine the two vouchers yet? I can only get 1 to apply at a time not 2 like described in the OP. I'm ready to send my order in and money over but would like topbuy to sort this problem out before the deal expires!

  • Do you sell the astone wireless dongle too?

  • I ordered one on blind faith today.
I had been holding out for an ACRyan or Xtremer.

    Gave up worrying about $5.
Already saved $9 over the shopping square offer.

    • WTF? 6 days to get it out the door??

      Dear Nowlan
This is an automated email to notify you that your order was shipped today via Australia Post / Courier Service.

  • "Join the TopBuy Newsletter subscription, and get another $5 Coupon (qualify for min $50 purchase)"

    this is NOT working!!!

    • dodgy, just like their other offers.

  • can't believe this is posted by the rep

    • +1

I don't mind the reps posting but if they're gonna post they should also interact and address some of the concerns raised here. Handled properly, they might actually make some more sales!

  • A minor glitch in their system, but even without the extra $5 this offer is substantially cheaper than the previous (now expired) post. That makes it a good bargain and warrants a positive.

I took my chances and ordered, then sent a message to their support asking them to apply the second voucher before I pay via Bpay. I am quite confident this will be sorted out on Monday.

    • Too late to address it now, if they indeed did, given the $10 voucher has expired.
      Shady shady shady!

      • Of course I applied the $10 voucher at checkout and asked them to add the $5 voucher (expiry end of month) when they come back to work on Monday…

        • good luck mate, hope it works for you.

        • Any luck?

          • @comphelp: No luck. After I nudged them again I got a reply late Tuesday that just said that vouchers can not be combined.

Does their rep not know their own policy? Does their IT department not know the policy, since they offer the option to enter multiple discount codes?

Mind you I provided a link to this thread twice, it would be easy for them to check what their rep said. I asked for clarification, no reply so far.

Service is very bad at TopBuy. Changing my vote to negative on this deal.

            • @team teri: Wish I could change my vote, but got: "You cannot revoke a vote that is more than 72 hours old."

              Strange policy, why?

              • @team teri: They honoured this price for me. $74.95 + shipping.

The response that I got was that it was $10 off only. This obviously contradicts what the rep wrote here so either the Rep stuffed up or the company did.

                • @Hellfire: They should have just released a different coupon code (one for $15) and posted it here. They might have made a bunch of sales and not had all this bad sentiment.
